I’m excited to share that I ran my first marathon today and with your support, we doubled my fundraising goal, raising over $1K for CFTO East Fridges ‼️

Back in March, I shared a personal and community goal: to run my first full Toronto Waterfront Marathon this October and raise funds to support Community Fridges Toronto @cf___to @cfto_east — a grassroots, mutual aid initiative helping our neighbors access free food, no questions asked.

Since then, this volunteer group has become deeply meaningful to me. What started as a way to give back has grown into something I care so much about — from grocery runs to fridge fills, it’s become a cause I hold close to my heart. 💛

And now, it’s truly turned into a family affair. My little sidekick PK helped shop and stock the fridges, and today, Matt played the role of ultimate chauffeur — driving us around the east end. We couldn’t have done it without you, bubba. 💕 @wilksmatt

With the incredible support of family and friends, we’ve already raised over $600 beyond my original goal (🥹 thank you!!) — We were blown away to discover we still have half the funds left for another round in a few weeks. 🙌

As I enter month 3 of marathon training, I’m digging deep — juggling life as a working mom, pushing through doubt, and carving out time for the long runs. It’s challenging, but it feels so good to be running consistently again with a real purpose.

I’m still accepting donations to continue filling the fridges and pantries through the summer and fall. If you’d like to contribute:
