a history of horror, fear & the uncanny 🌀🔮🕯️🖤

starting to get more into my nonfiction bag as someone who loves all things witchy weird & esoteric 🫦 a global & visually complete history of folklore, film and literature that explores the human experience and how our understanding of fear and terror have evolved through the ages, this book is definitely one for those when a spookier disposition.

super beautiful illustrations, images & sources from ancient texts of hellish underworlds to modern day Black cinema, indigenous folklore and sci-fi tropes - I can’t wait to get into this one, thank you @dklivinguk 🙂‍↕️🌟 by @sosa.tr
