Book Tooting Bec Lido as much as you humanly can. It’s over NINETY metres long so if you hang out at the deep end you’re literally miles away from the kids. Also cute colourful changing rooms, and…

… ice lattes + icy (although actually not all that icy in a heatwave) swims = bliss.

Go to Herne Hill because it’s cute and because you can get the best…..

… ice cream in South London from @minus12degrees 🍦🍦🍦

Go back to the lido.

Work from cute cafes with air con and delicious ice lattes in beer bottles @julietsqualityfood 🧡

Then go up to @frankspeckham because it’s nice and breezy up there…

… and they have delicious gin palomas and spicy mango margs 🍸🍹…

And really lush views 🩷✨

Things I did and did not buy at Lille Braderie. Have real regrets as I didn’t buy that cow soap dish; what was I thinking? 🐄

Tips for Lille:
• It’s only 1.5hrs on the Eurostar from London.
• If you love antiquing go the first weekend in September because the whole city looks like this. If you don’t love antiquing go literally any other time of the year 🙃
• The tarte citron from Boulangerie Maes Éric will change your life.
• We didn’t see any art so guess I’ll have to go back 🤷🏼‍♀️

A day trip down to Plymouth to see Gillian Ayres ~ A Life in Colour @theboxplymouth 💛🩵🩷💚 (which, btw, is a stunning gallery/museum!)
One of my absolute favourite artists and this exhibition is a feast for the eyes 😍 on until 4 October.

A couple of solo days in Nantes ~ this city was such a vibe. A stunning mix of beautiful traditional French buildings in the city with amazing modern architecture on Île de Nantes. Gorgeous galleries, art all over the city, and excellent cafes and galetteries 🤌🏼 #Nantes #visitnantes

Finally got to see Henry Moore ~ Monumental Nature @kewgardens. Thirty of his sculptures dotted around the gardens, so gorgeous. 💚

Even if the grass is just dust and hay now. On until 31 Jan 2027.

A fleeting mid July visit to Paris ‘on route’ home from La Rochelle. Obvs barely scratched the surface but squeezed a lot in. Here are some v aesthetically pleasing and arty recs 👉
