I love it when it's the fabric that draws inspiration. This one off piece of embroidered chiffon from @neilsfabrics did just that. Initially I was thinking of a blouse, but then I settled on wanting to make some kind of Kimono style jacket. Then I noticed on the @joli_lab Instagram a post about the Hoya jacket, a FREE PATTERN and my inspiration was complete 💕

I'm off to a white party today and am loving the combination of my Esti set by @tillybuttons in white Linen that I've had for a long time.

I made a new dress for the staff summer party that I arranged last night. This is the Almeria dress by @atelier8avril made using a viscose that I bought earlier this year at the Birmingham rag market. I hope you can see the beautiful details of this dress, stunning ruching details that run across this dress creating such a beautiful effect. It has an invisible zip on the back.

The pattern also includes a skirt and top pattern which I've also made and will share soon

I had such a wonderful evening, I've paired this with some beautiful earrings made by the wonderful @jazzandwowhandmade . by @sosewmad

NEW FREE TROUSER PATTERN by @maisonfauveuk . The Mellow trousers. I absolutely adore them. As soon as they were released on Thursday eve at 5pm I knew I wanted to make them I had the Maison Fauve clash the rhythm jaquard in this beautiful neon orange and pink, available on their website, and immediately cut them out. I made a straight size 42 with no alterations.

The features on this free pattern are amazing. The stripe feature on the side with optional piping. I chose gold to highlight the details. The flat front waistband with faux button band. No zip. Elastic waistband at the back which is very elegant. Italian pockets. Just brilliant.

This really is an easy make. The waistband construction isn't hard but requires concentration, but it's genius. I've never seen this construction before, and I love how Maison Fauve patterns always teach me something new

LIONESS The latest pattern from @maisonfauveuk made in their stunning Jaquard viscose. This top is so simple to make and brilliant in its pattern drafting. Taking just over a metre of fabric this is an excellent scrap buster, and so elegant.

I made a size 42 with no alterations. This is going to be a repeat make and wear!

My latest make 💕🪡🧵 The Almost Blouse @maisonfauveuk has stolen my heart. I made 2 at the same time 😂. I've made this using a double sided double gauze that I brought T the Stitch Festival from @higgsandhiggs In the video I try to show the details 😊. I have used buttons from @whatbecsews

Just love how this came together and I have lots of double gauze projects lined up as I love how it feels.
