November? Locked in. 🔒💗 First half marathon at 50, and Dallas is 41 days away! Strength training and stretching are getting their time too—these legs have 13.1 miles to carry me through. 😂

45 DAYS until this new runner at 50 takes on her FIRST HALF MARATHON! 😳🏃🏾‍♀️💗

Dallas… your girl is coming for 13.1 miles, and I’m excited AND terrified! 😂

I went from struggling to run for 20 seconds to training for a distance I never imagined attempting. Now I’m doing miles and menopause at the same damn time—and wondering what I signed myself up for. 🤣

Every run is a reminder that I can do hard things, even while I’m scared.

December 13. BMW Dallas Marathon. My first 13.1. @dallasmarathonofficial 🏁

What’s ONE thing you wish you knew before your first half? Drop it below—your girl needs the wisdom! 👇🏾

“I wouldn’t pay money to run.” Meanwhile, I’m upset nobody handed me a medal this weekend. 😂🏅

It’s Medal Monday, and my FOMO from not having an official race is at an ALL-TIME HIGH! Apparently I run now… and apparently I need a bib, a finish line, and a little shiny reward. 🤷🏽‍♀️💖

Anybody else seeing everybody’s race pictures and ready to register for something? 👀😂👇🏽

Apparently, I run now… and it’s deeper than the miles. 🏃🏾‍♀️💕

I run because some days my mind needs somewhere to put what I’m carrying. It’s my kind of therapy.

I run because I GET to. Every step is a thank-you to this body for showing up for me.

I run because “I can’t” gets loud sometimes—and I need to remind myself that I CAN do hard things.

And I run for the community. The women who cheer for me, save me a spot, and remind me I belong at whatever pace I bring.

At 50, I found something I didn’t know I needed. Now I keep showing up for it—and for me.

What does running give YOU? 👇🏾

What motivates your RUN?🤔 @adidasrunning by @sosherunnow

The miles and menopause are to blame for my inconsistent actions! Thats a scientific fact! 🏃🏾‍♀️😂🏁#running @adidasrunning by @sosherunnow

Officially an @garminrunning girly…💗I am absolutely in lovvvvve! The ease of use! The data! The training program… I could go on for days. Lets just say as a new runner this is exactly what I needed.🤔wonder how long it will be before I decide that the 265 needs to be upgraded to the 570 I originally wanted 🤷🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️🏁 my first full marathon is coming and im gonna be ready now 😂 by @sosherunnow

In my DJ Khalid voice 🗣️ Another 1. This chapter in my running is called “miles on feet” #running #5ksunday by @sosherunnow

I may not be the fastest and I may not have the best form,YET but step by step My 12-13min/mile pace BUILT one street light to the next at 5 am in April of this year! Going from feeling like id die walking up 1 flight of stairs and me hitting distances I would have laughed at if you told me id run that far before. This wasn’t a planned venture I literally had 1 goal when this started. I told myself I wasn’t gonna be out of shape and 50! Who would have known that linking up with @rei.empress_ who unknowingly took me through a route that would trigger my teen mom survival wounds and the memory of having my first kid at 16 and running a route that I had walked many times trying to prove I wouldn’t be a statistic would unlock my core memory that I WAS BUILT TO DO HARD THINGS! She then unknowingly invited me to Run/walk mostly then 😂😂 belle isle and that double down my triggers because in my mind my dad was the only one that did that🤷🏾‍♀️. Nahhhh its not a hobby its very high priced therapy! So she run now🤷🏾‍♀️ good ted talk guys 😂 by @sosherunnow
