Allow me to reintroduce myself…
Kendal Kibanoff BSN, RN ⚓️

For years I dreamed of this moment. A moment that felt nearly impossible to achieve. The late sleepless nights, the early mornings, and the doubt I felt thinking it was nearly impossible. This achievement proved that it is possible, that I am capable.

I want to give a special thanks to my big sister Audrey. She paved the way of being the first (by default) generation Kibanoff college graduate and nurse in our family. I looked up to her hoping that I could be half as amazing as she is. Thank you for being my role model and tried and true living proof that it is possible.

To my mom, words will never explain the appreciation I have for you. Your ability to raise three children by yourself and sacrifice everything while drowning just so we could swim is something I’ll forever wish to repay. You are an amazing woman and I can’t wait to give you the life you deserve.

From the beginning, before even starting my journey, I was turned down with doubt by multiple individuals who said being a nursing student athlete was simply impossible and I would have to put my passion for nursing aside to continue to play collegiate athletics. I’ll forever thank myself for finding a fit where choosing my passion first proved that once again, it is possible to do both.

Now at 21 years old, I can proudly say I am *the second* first generation college graduate and registered nurse in my family.

In God’s timing, trust in Him.

Thank you dad for always checking in and making sure I was solid in the most unexpected ways. From showing me your angel guidance during my pinning in a set of numbers to flying across me at grad as a butterfly after getting my diploma. Thank you for showing me that I can truly get through amidst it all and that your presence is still here along the way. This one’s for you pool shark, love you always and miss you everyday🎱 by @sosokendal
