✨s o l d ✨

Lady of the Delaware swam off to her new home this weekend, and Cole and I are feeling like empty-nesters.

So much love and hard work went into this collaboration…and the two of us are humbled with gratitude for how much joy our lady brought to her many onlookers.

Talking a walk down memory lane and remembering the making of this piece is such a trip! When Cole and I made Lady of the Delaware, my workshop was our living room- we got rid of our couch and all other furniture so that I could move my shop out of the corner of our dark basement, and take over our living space- a huge familial sacrifice.

Things have changed quite a bit since Lady of the Delaware, but this piece was born of, and is an embodiment of humble beginnings…and I will never forget that.

Lady of the Delaware, my imagining of what a mermaid living in the Delaware river might look like, is perfectly complimented with Cole’s beautifully crafted frame of Frenchtown oak and reclaimed mahogany decking boards.

The first piece I made to honor the river. The first piece I made for no other reason than “I wanted to”.

We miss you dear girl ✨❤️ by @sotoldcreative

My Head House, 2022

Decades of mental gymnastics distilled into a map of my mind.

An archival quilt - scraps of glass from projects passed and river gifts pieced together to make walls, rooms, and doorways.

Childhood fantasies actualized...hammocks, chandeliers, and rivers.

concrete blocks stacked tall to fill the dark places and shut out the noise.

Off-center, imperfect, out-of-square.

Cluttered spaciousness.

A watermelon Bjork-fueled fantasia.

Pretty brick wall.

Navel gazing nonsense.

Thank you @buddingrosesphotography for capturing this piece so beautifully, and bringing light to the corners of my mind. 🙏🏻 by @sotoldcreative

Pathways, 2026!!

I completed my first architectural installation and boy howdy was it a glorious journey!!! 💛😮‍💨🙏🏻

My monolith, 90” tall and 22” wide

A love story and a reminder that there are many pathways back to ourselves and back to our loved ones

A journey through time and space, wherein every creating takes as long as it takes

A practice of patience, surrender, and presence

A lesson of focus and precision

A prayer

Featuring: ammonite fossils, agate slices, antique dishes, and 11 glass mason jar lids (which Cole and I found in the river together, mudlarking) and an exposed-edge, maple-veneer plywood frame

The creation of the piece would not have been possible without my dear husband, who beautifully designed and crafted the frame. I am a better craftsman because of the level of excellence he achieves 🙏🏻 working together is a dream come true! 💞

Much gratitude for Maggie & Peter who saw something in me as an artist and entrusted Cole and I with such a significant space in your home 🙏🏻

Thank you Christophe for your aid with computers! Thank you Craig for the use of your shop! Thank you to my mama for always believing in me! Thank you Macy Gray, your albums were on repeat throughout the entire process! Thank you to family, friends, and community members who shared in the excitement with me!🙏🏻 and a special shoutout to my Holy Entourage, thanks for hanging out with me while I worked! 🙏🏻🕊️

Of course, there’s still so much to say! But for now I’ll leave y’all with: peace on Earth!!!! Dreams come true! Miracles happen! Let your light shine! And when you’re at the point of wanting to give up…keep going, something spectacular is just around the corner ✨

501 Transformation Station, 2026 (WIP)

She’s waiting patiently for me to put on her frame; Big Country is feeling inspired by her and is considering a custom wood frame 🙏🏻

She’ll have her moment soon enough 💕

I’ve been quietly working behind the scenes on this big commission

Each day I wake up and I’m so grateful this is my life!

My clients encouraged me to share the process online, which I would usually shy away from, but here I am trying new things.

Trying new things so that I don’t keep myself stuck.

Trying new things so that I can say ‘well I tried it, and it did(n’t) work’

Well actually, as you know, there is nothing that ‘doesn’t work’. Every “mistake” is simply a jumping off point for what’s next.

So here I am, trying to do a cute lil video of me seeing the final design to-scale for the first time. It rolled out upside down 🙃 and of course, I still made changes to the “final” design 🤪

Peace is allowed in whenever I surrender to the process
