POSTS STORIES REELS

Soul Stories are insightful creations that capture the sensitive & vulnerable pieces of your soul.

They are written and illustrated from the heart, allowing you to remember how every ingrained & forgotten moment can be turned into something beautiful to feel…

Tams’ sincere hope is that, out of the hundreds of stories she has written, perhaps one will reach into your heart and give it a gentle squeeze ~ that just one will remind you how to feel, and open you up to some of the beautiful things in life that are so easily forgotten.

“When I write these Soul Stories, I honestly feel like I’m pulling out pieces of your essence, mixing them up with the real, the pretend and perhaps even a touch of my own heart, and turning them into something beautiful for you to read…”

This is the heart of Soul Stories.

A gentle reminder that our stories, our feelings and the moments that shape us are already there, inside us all.

🤍🌱✨

Artist, lamplighter & storyteller ~ the soul behind Soul Stories

Long before Soul Stories had a name, there was a young girl sitting beside her Mum on early Sunday morning drives to the markets ~ listening to stories and words of wisdom, watching the sunrise and scribbling down whatever caught her attention.

Tams has loved words for as long as she can remember. Beautiful words. Words that somehow express what we feel when we can’t quite find the words to say it out loud.

Writing, drawing and creating were always quietly bubbling away on the back burner while her professional dance career took her around the world and through the theatres of Europe.

A secret slow burn.

And somewhere along the way, those threads began to weave themselves together ~ stories, words, movement, art, people, memories and all the wonderfully messy things that make us human.

Soul Stories began to take shape.

Today, Tams continues to listen, wander, create and follow her heart ~ always inspired by beautiful souls and the incredible stories they carry.

And perhaps that’s what she’s been doing all along.

Finding ways to share all the stories that matter.
In the unique form of ‘Soul Stories’…

Lately, I’ve been questioned…

“What on earth are you doing? You seem to be doing so many different things!”

Over the years, I’ve followed my heart, passion and intuition, leading me down many creative directions.

For a long time, they looked like many separate ideas, but after untangling those pieces, I can finally see the bigger picture of how they fit together.

Somewhere along the way, an enchanted tree has grown from seeds planted over decades.

At the centre of it all is the trunk ~ the heart and soul of Soul Stories. Everything grows from there.

Some branches grow one way, some another, some overlap and intertwine. Some are heavy with fruit whilst others are still finding their way towards the light.

I followed the seeds as they appeared. Some were intentional, some accidental, some took years to show life.

Slowly, they began to grow. Twigs entwined and found each other ~ they were never really separate, all growing from the same place.

And then there’s the flowers & fruit ~ the things that grow from the branches and make their way into the world.
Stories to read. Art to live with. Experiences to step into. Spaces to connect, create & simply be.

But a tree can’t grow on its own. It needs sunlight, it needs water, it needs nurturing. Most importantly, people nourish Soul Stories ~ every single person.

Everyone who follows along, shares the stories, collaborates, participates, recommends, buys something, invests in the projects, or simply believes in what I’m creating.

Maybe you’re one of those people. Because I’ve learned I can’t grow this alone. And while the branches reach up for the light, I still have to tend to the roots ~ the hardest part that nobody sees.

The stop-starts. The ten no’s before a yes. The self-doubt. The days you show up in the pouring rain. The holes the rabbits dig that need filling in. That takes time, attention and care.

The more the tree’s nurtured, the more it can grow. The more it grows, the more Soul Stories can give back. Because that’s what it’s always been about ~ people finding their stories, or rediscovering them in different ways.

Maybe you’ve always been part of that story too more, than you realize. Xt by @soul.stories

Sometimes, things don’t go the way you hoped. And sometimes, they hurt a little more than you let on.

The self-doubt creeps in. The questions start circling. You wonder if you’re on the right path, if you’re doing enough, if all the time, energy, heart and soul you pour into what you do will ever find its way back to you.

And when you’re standing in a room watching red dot after red dot appear beside everyone else’s work, while your own remains untouched, it’s hard not to question yourself. Hard not to compare. Hard not to feel a little deflated. 😞

But perhaps not every experience is about the immediate reward. Perhaps some are planting seeds we can’t yet see. Opening doors we don’t even know exist. Teaching us things we’ll need for the next chapter.

I wish I could say I always remember that in the moment. The truth is, sometimes I feel sad. Sometimes I feel really disappointed. Sometimes I have to sit with the uncomfortable feelings before I can find my way back to believing in myself again.
.

But I know why I do what I do. I know how much I love creating, and I know I’m not ready to stop showing up.
So I’ll take a breath, pick myself up, dust myself off and keep going.

.

My next show is in Sydney with @pinchgallery , and I have to believe this is all part of the preparation. That the universe is quietly moving things around in ways I can’t yet understand. 🙏🏻

For now, I’m choosing to trust the process.
To trust the timing. To keep planting the seeds, even when I can’t see what’s growing.🌿

Because one disappointing chapter doesn’t define the whole story. And I’m not even close to being done writing mine. ✨

Catch you all @affordableartfairau in Sydney!!!!❤️

We arrive as strangers, perhaps a little weary, carrying the weight of everyday life. 💚

We give ourselves permission to slow down, to breathe, to share, to listen and to reconnect with who we truly are.

And somewhere along the way, something shifts. We laugh, we open up, we feel seen, and strangers become friends.

We leave feeling lighter, happier, inspired and reconnected ~ with ourselves and with each other. ✨

This is the magic of Soul Stories Reset. 🌿

Sometimes, all we need is a little space to come back to ourselves ~ and a few beautiful souls to share the journey with.

💚 A little nudge, if you’ve been waiting for a sign…

There’s just ONE PLACE LEFT for our November Reset, 27–29 November.

Perhaps it’s time to give yourself the same care, kindness and attention you so freely give to everyone else.

Your health. Your wellbeing. Your time to simply be.

You deserve that. And we’d love to welcome you. ✨
