the kid’s fall off has to be studied #washed

jokes aside - every year I make these broken ass promises of new music and I’m just a liar. (1) new song for 2024 but I appreciate yall for sticking around.

Lately, I’ve been finding myself contemplating putting an end to this era of my life because the stress and pressure I put on myself, along with the overwhelming feeling of “it’s not done” or “it’s not good enough” that always creeps in makes being creative so difficult. 2025 (god I hope this isn’t another year of promise breaking) I’m truly going to try to find that “spark” that made producing fun without the unnecessary negativity behind it. More to come. Very grateful.

Here’s my #SpotifyWrapped with me making excuses, trying to justify the fact that I’ve watched my monthly/yearly streams drop immensely over the course of 2-3 years because I’m absolutely struggling to find balance between work, pleasure, and relaxation.

In all seriousness though, it 100% is a struggle but I appreciate the peeps who continue to listen to the oldies whilst I make broken promises to release more music. 2024, actual songs, actual releases, actual “soulecist” songs that will show up on my account, and more fun vibes HOPEFULLY.

———
For the artists viewing this and their stats : take every fucking ounce of these numbers and appreciate them. You can have 100x less than mine or 100x more, every fucking stream and listen and new follower counts. Don’t measure your success based on Spotify numbers and do not compare yourself to other artists. Everyone moves at their own pace. I compare my stats specifically to my past stats, yes for humor and sappy posts, but to aim higher and surpass myself because I know the amount of work I put in those years and know somewhere somehow I can get back to that.

Anyways - appreciate you all.

writers block really hit me for the past 2 years creating my new project BUT I was inspired listening to @capshun, and Tolls really resonated with me. Wrapped this up a week or so after release date and was happy to get this released with the musical giants @jadudala

S/O @larimerlounge for the pop-up set last night. Sorry bout the technical difficulties (CDJ Link was not working for 10 mins into my set lol) but big ups to the sexy people who stayed the night with the hiccups. Twas a vibe and great experience to “headline” for my brother @herisse__ first show ever! Woot da woot - also big ups to my creative director @kiefpants for coming in clutch with last minute visuals that were used for HERISSE’s set and not mine LMFAO taken in Denver, Colorado by @soulecist

So here’s the deal peeps. 2022 was hectic to say the least. My first year “post” COVID juggling 8-12 hour shifts every single day including most weekends, whilst trying to be creative and relax all at the same time. Work life balance truly was no where to be found in 2022 with exactly 0 new releases across both alias’. Obviously compared to years prior, this didn’t break even BUT it truly showed me that I will always have the support from my extremely sexy, well endowed, sexually active, phat assed, and delicious toed listeners. Thanks for trusting the journey and sticking around even if I’m inactive across platforms with uploads, dropping music, playing shows, and giving you sock updates. Y’all the real fucking ones and I love you. 2023 should be better I PROMISE
