Hapi 50th Anniversary Hip-Hop…such a part of my come up and my soul..had my first emcee battle in the school hallway in 88’, rocked my first real show in 91’ with The Boys and Edo G at River Fest, joined up with Universal Zulu Nation in 92’, helped to start 2 chapters and been going strong ever since.. honored to have performed, toured and recorded with most of my favorite emcees and artists that I respect most..was producer and host of my event Raize It Up Live for 11 years alongside my Raize It Up Radio show, been a part of starting and facilitating many positive and empowering Hip-Hop programs for teens and young adults, lectured and facilitated workshops with high schools and colleges and much more..no matter how much I was tested and tried by an industry that would always try to change me up to try to make me appear and sound sexy and less conscious so they could sell me and so I could take a faster and more financially beneficial route, I never side stepped or stepped off my path and square of bringing conscious and empowering Hip-Hop and real Empress energy to my communities and the world..I’m thankhful for all the amazing opportunities Hip-Hop has given me and to have been raised by conscious,powerful and amazing beings, energies and elements of the culture…Hip-Hop definitely raised me right…Hapi 50th..to many more…🙏🏽🙌🏽❤️❤️❤️🎤🔥🔥🔥🎉🎊🎉#hbd#hiphop#hiphop50#zulu#nyc#legend#royalty#koolherc#love#family#queen#womenwithlocs#locs#beauty#beautiful#womeninhiphop#love#power#soul by @soulflower777

One Crate: A DJ’s Story featuring Large ProfessorSome nights remind us why we gather.DJ Six Millz opened the room the only way he knows how—with soul. Bobby Byrd’s “Keep On Doin’ What You’re Doing” set the tone before we welcomed one of hip-hop’s greatest architects.From there, Soulflower invited us into an evening of stories, records, and community as Large Professor shared the music that shaped generations.
