Tonight Soul Food has the absolute pleasure of welcoming a phenomenal local R&B star, proud Samu and Sui woman from Saibai Island in the Torres Strait, vocalist, songwriter and storyteller, we welcome Zipporah!! @zipporraahh 💛 Since releasing her debut EP 'Naungu urui' earlier in February, Zipporah has had a huge musical year including performing live at VIVID at the Sydney Opera House in May, the release of 'Naungu urui Extended Cut' in August, and becoming a nominee of the 2026 NSW Music Prize! 'Naungu Urui' is a captivating debut project, in which Zipporah creates a meeting place for her soul, R&B, jazz and country influences to coexist together. This project is deeply personal and considers the many facets of what it means to be human, to grieve, to let go, to love. She goes one step further incorporating traditional instruments and language, in doing so honouring her ancestral legacy and underscoring the fundamental relationship between the history of R&B and the history of her people's music, the rhythms that have been here for time immemorial. Hannah sat down with Zipporah earlier this week to hear all about the year that has been, delving into the creative process behind making this debut body of work, the amazing collaborators across the project, and the ongoing journey to really knowing yourself. Listen in to our beautiful convo on air TONIGHT 8-10pm on 90.7FM and syn.org.au✨ Catch you there xxx ⭐️Tuesdays 8-10PM 📻 @synmedia | 90.7FM 💌 0468 155 796 by @soulfoodsyn

Tomorrow night we welcome none other than Aboriginal and Fijian Naarm-based producer and rapper ...Miles Nautu!! @milesnautu Having just stepped off the stage at 3RRR, and only a week away from his performance at Move My Way Festival @move.my.way.festival this Sunday 4 October, we are so excited to sit down with Miles in the studio and hear all about the journey so far. Miles’ work is a melding of jazz, hip hop and neo-soul, combining to form his distinctive sound.
