I only show this many teeth when I’m feeling free!

No distractions, no phone service, the sun is shining, my canteen is full. I mean, what more do you need? Physically challenging myself in nature is one of my favorite hobbies that I enjoy Soulo and with others.

But what’s in the bag?!!

Having an everyday bag makes exploring any place easier and comfortable. Shoutout to all the brands making cute bags that are stylish and can be worn with any outfit!

I love my crossbody bag, but of course fanny packs and backpacks are also great options.

Let’s start with having a pen and journal. Now I know we love our phones. They’ll do any and everything for us, but what happens if it dies or you lose it in a river (I don’t want to talk about it 😭). Anyways, keeping a journal for reflection, taking notes, and keeping general contact information is a game changer and can possibly save you from confusion and stress.

Mexico City is such a beautiful place and an absolute must on your travel list! The soulful food, vibrant street life and bustle of the city are quite like no other.

When visiting a place for four or more days, I like to take it nice and slow on day one. I like to find my neighborhood coffee/tea shop, search the closest grocer and most importantly, the pharmacy! It’s a new space, so moving slow and being intentional is always key to having a full, healthy experience wherever you go.

So the tree is stable 🌳

While traveling, I find myself engulfed in nature. Witnessing the trees, the wild, all coming together and just… living. In a moment of time, nature can seem grounded, even when more is happening than the eyes can see. The subtle cycles make me think of the importance of foundation when preparing for change.

Just like trees, our roots are fed with the soil that surrounds us. Enriched with life’s elements, it’s important to understand and identify if the foundation we continue to stand on is helping us to grow taller and stronger, or causing us to wilt.

A simple reflection on our beliefs, communication styles, and core values can be the beginning of new life.

One thing’s for certain, I’m taking myself outside, and you should too!

As a dental hygienist, many of my days I’m covered in head-to-toe protective gear, under dim lights and in mouths. While I love what I do, I have learned over the years the importance of getting outdoors.

Here’s a few benefits to enjoying more of nature’s TLC 🌳🩷🌳

•Increased physical activity, improving cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength and flexibility

The Loboc River Cruise is a must do when visiting the island of Bohol!
