I’m just coming off the end of one of the biggest challenges I’ve faced or signed up for. Reflecting on it, it really was the most mentally and physically demanding expeditions I have ever done. I really wanted to test myself and learn more about myself, and that’s exactly what I did. And this trip was about way more than just me. It was about wanting to more good into the world. We worked as a team undertaking ocean clean ups, and raising awareness for the state of our oceans and the need for increased sustainability.

Now this has come to a close, I’m very much looking forward to getting stuck in to continuing the SoulsUntapped adventures, bringing you new films and content for you to follow along with. And don’t worry lots of work will be going on in the background to bring the Nordic Endeavour to your screens.

Thanks again for sticking around during this brief haitus from the usual chaos, and I can’t thank everyone enough for the continued support! by @souls_untapped

PART 2 NOW LIVE . Cracking kina and wrestling some big Crays a very good way to spend a day . The Fiordlands with the sun out and calm water is truly amazing. While kina diving. You make a fair noise taking them off the rocks , I’ve found this can a attract some pretty big Crays which make it way more exiting down there . Diving an insane place MUCKLE FLUGGA and shooting a new PB polock. What a trip this was .

I messed up a fair few shots on some nice fish one even bigger than this . I soon realised that I was shooting short the fish were a lot bigger than I thought and were further away . I was diving with 15 vis making fish stand out a long way off , in order to get them to come in I had to really hide deep in the kelp and then let them come in to have a look . Not going to lie frustrating missing a lot but learning to read the situations and adapt is what it’s all about . I got there In the end .

One place I feel I always connect to is the most northern point of the Shetland Islands. I talk about this place a lot as it never leaves my mind. The windows are small to visit this place ,strong tides unpredictable weather make this a pretty hostile environment that’s maybe why I enjoy it here. I have to be completely immersed in this place and feel it and listen to what it’s telling me and only then I feel that’s when she releases her treats. On this trip with. @josh_mckay97 we dived hard and eventually got stuck into some incredible fish. As always a very short but sweet trip but fuelled with amazing memories from the trip it will keep me going until the next time the engine starts and we start heading north again.

Nature can get pretty creative sometimes, turns out this wasn’t seaweed this strange looking thing is “Puddings” (Cucumaria frondosa) . A type of sea cucumber that lives on the rocks using its branches to catch food. Once caught they suck all that food off through there mouth in the centre. Pretty darn cool.

I took a huge leap buying my first big camera set up. One of the most terrifying decisions I’ve made having all that money in my hands under the water. Was it worth it ? Hands down best thing I did , the quality of the selfies is next level haha joking aside I love being in the sea creating films and the action cameras are amazing but I have really felt a new love for the hat I do with the new camera. I can’t wait to take you along on my learning and filming journey.

So proud to team up with @spartanprecision. Getting my hands on the springbok sticks and testing them out on the hill was a lot of fun. Taking your time to find the right gear really pays off it’s from that point on you really learn how to use it to maximum. With the lightweight design and ease of use I had no issue using them with freezing cold hands in torrential rain, which if you’re a stalker you’ll know all about..

I live life in the fast lane and more often than not, that means a very busy head too. I love the way I live, but it can be very difficult to self regulate in every day life.

Being in the wild and testing my mind and body really helps me reconnect to myself, through the land and the food I eat. I’m really lucky to be able to get out and hunt like this, and a lot of the time it’s in the name of the management trying to reduce the high numbers.

But this never takes away from that connection that I feel… every stalk, every trigger squeeze, every pack out. If you allow yourself to feel it, it’s a feeling of freedom like no other.

One of my favourite places to spend time. The Scottish Highlands, is a wild and rugged environment and full of life. It is Home to big populations of Red deer and Sika deer and as while these are amazing to have on the land large numbers can cause problems. It comes down to hunters and deer stalkers and land managers to help manage these populations and run a healthy ecosystem. I’m very proud to take part in this process with a great bunch of friends. It is very hard work but never feels like work. In this episode we’re not only get out and stalk the Windy Hills we also get stuck in the kitchen and butcher and process some of the most sustainable meat Scotland has to offer. As a country we should hold this resource very precious to us and make it more readily available so not only benefits the land but benefits everybody around it.

I hope you enjoy this film as always. It was great fun getting out there. I also hope you can see how amazing we have it with this resource and how we should look after it. Always a pleasure catching up with @west_capades

This time it was on my way back from my big expedition down the Norwegian coastline. Although I was in recovery mode, it didn’t stop us getting out together for a stalk and to help some local farmland with their dearer problem. It’s always a good day out hunting together and yes, the cameras were rolling….
