Sir,

I honestly didn’t think saying goodbye to a manager would feel this difficult.

When I first joined, I thought of you simply as my manager. Someone who would assign work, check deadlines, point out mistakes, and make sure everything was getting done. But somewhere along the way, that became more than just a manager-employee relationship.

I learned a lot from working with you. Not just about the work, but about handling pressure, taking responsibility, communicating better, and figuring things out when things didn’t go according to plan.

I especially appreciate the times you trusted me with responsibilities and gave me the chance to figure things out on my own instead of always giving me the answer. I may not have realised it at the time, but those experiences helped me become more confident and independent at work.Of course, not every day was perfect. There were stressful days, tight deadlines, disagreements, and moments when I probably wasn’t the easiest employee to deal with. But looking back, I’m grateful for those moments too,because they taught me things that I probably wouldn’t have learned otherwise.

I’ll genuinely miss the everyday things the conversations, the familiar routine, the random work discussions, the occasional “Can you get this done today?” messages, and even the pressure that used to annoy me at the time. Funny how the things you want to escape from while you’re there can become the things you remember after you leave.

Thank you for trusting me, correcting me when I needed it, giving me opportunities, and allowing me to learn along the way.

I’m leaving with more experience, more confidence, and a lot of good memories from my time here.I hope the next chapter brings you many good things too.
