Happy Mother’s Day to my girlie, Rev. Dr. Soror Mommy Middleton 💐

Last year was my first Mother’s Day without her physically here, and truthfully, I felt very lost and grief-stricken. Thank you to everyone who has extended me kindness, grace, prayers, and patience as I continue navigating the loss of my bestie. Being an only child without my mom is a pain I wouldn’t wish on anyone, but I’m grateful her memory still lights my path and her prayers still cover me. She’s truly the most whimsical and bubbly Black girl I’ve ever met and I’m grateful to be her daughter.

Even if I haven’t responded individually, please charge it to my head and not my heart. Your support has meant more to me than you know. My mom is still such a FORCE in my life, and somehow I feel closer to her every day.

So in honor of Mother’s Day, here are a few fun facts about my lady:

1. She’s a Disney Adult
My girl LOVED Walt Disney World. We went for the opening of Animal Kingdom, rode the maiden voyage of the Disney Magic Cruise Line, celebrated the new millennium there, and even got immortalized in Leave a Legacy at Epcot. She passed that Disney magic right down to me & I’m grateful!
2. She’s a gamer
Her favorite game was Ms. Pac-Man. In college, she’d write papers for classmates to make extra money for the arcade, and she and my daddy spent many dates there too. No wonder I love gaming as much as I do. 🤭
3. She’s a techie
A true tech girlie. She chose UDC partly because they had just got new computers, later wrote code for ATM machines (ICONIC), and eventually focused her ministry work on integrating technology into the Black church. I truly wish her vision was welcomed more freely as she was a head of her time with her 2018 dissertation but… that’s a story for another day.

Happy Mother’s Day to all who celebrate and to the many beautiful forms motherhood can take. I love talking about my girl, and as both her greatest fan and part of her legacy, I’ll always keep her story and memory alive. 💕💚 by @soulspaige

Project of the Year 🏆✨ Leading a multi million dollar Al literacy initiative across 2 universities isn’t for the weak so this recognition means the world to me. I’m SO proud of what we’re building for the next gen. In light of all I’ve been thru these past 2 years, this is truly a MIRACLE that I’m even in my right mind to serve in this capacity. Thank you God, mommy, and community!

Again, I don’t & won’t condone K*nye in 2026. I just always wanted to use this quote 😭. If this is my first cancellable offense then honestly I lasted pretty long with how far my digital footprint goes back. 🤷🏾‍♀️😅

Art All Night 2026 | As the daughter of 4th generation Washingtonians, raised in PG, Chocolate City will forever mean the world to me! I had such a fun time with my sis 🫶🏾
Also, to any DJs please include this song in the gogo portion of your set. Specifically the 2010 one on YouTube. I’m tired of the same 5 songs, k thx!

At every turn I’m reminded that my girl, Rev. Dr. Soror Mommy Middleton’s prayers are STILL covering me. Same with the others who’ve gone before me. As long as I have breath I’ll keep their names alive. And that’s on Deborah, Debra, Carletha, Georgia, Paige, Shirley, Angie, Alifair, the Murray Girls, and them. #imeverywoman #blackwomen #prayer #protection #ancestors by @soulspaige

I’m finding ways to feel the magic of Disney in the DMV
✨
Welcome to my new series, DMV Disney Diaries, where I romanticize my whimsical life as an out of state @disneyparks lover. 🏰💫
Episode 1: I visit Animal Kingdom… I mean Smithsonian’s National Zoo! 🤭
✨
Y’all I really wish I had the spirit of a content creator but this took me forever and a day to make 😭 I just had to act on the idea before God gave it to Prince.
