Teacher Feature Friday ❤️👣

We asked Miss Arles some questions… @missarles

What is your favourite dance style and why?

I love Ballet and Tap! I love Ballet because of how gentle you get to be as well as the movements, and I love Tap because I love making sounds with my feet.

Your Starbucks drink order?

Iced Banana Bread Latte or Iced Pumpkin Chai Latte.

Who or what inspires you most when it comes to dance?

I have always looked up to my Ballet mentors throughout my career as a dance teacher. They always inspire me to grow more in my own teaching. Every time I go and watch them teach, it just shows how much I love teaching and how much I look up to them and still want to be like them even though I have been teaching for 11 years now.

Your favourite dance movie?

Footloose, Dirty Dancing, Centre Stage and Step up.

Your favourite dance step?

I love Pirouettes!

What are you looking most forward to this season?

I am looking forward to watching the dancers grow in their technique and becoming beautiful dancers!!!

September 30th marks National Truth and Reconciliation Day which also coincides with Orange Shirt Day. This day honours the lost children and Survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. We encourage our community to take time to remember, learn and reflect.

We encourage our dance families to wear orange to honour the victims and survivors. 🧡
