If you only have 48 hours in Kuala Lumpur, these are 10 places you can't miss (along with bonus places at the end):
1️⃣ Petronas Towers
You should go during the morning & evening to enjoy both versions. If you want to visit the Sky Bridge & Observation Deck, it's closed on the 1st & 3rd Monday every month.
2️⃣ Batu Caves
Time: 7am to 9pm
Try to go early in the morning or in the evening to avoid KL's midday heat as well as the crowd.
3️⃣ Thean Hou Temple
Time: 8am to 8pm
Go around 6/6:30pm & stay till 8pm to see both sides of the temple. The temple looks beautiful as the sky changes hue & the lanterns light up. Alternatively, you can visit in the afternoon & have the place all to yourself!
4️⃣Kwai Chai Hong
Time: 9am to 12am
This restored heritage back alley is perfect to photo ops whenever you visit.
5️⃣Petaling Street
Time: 8am to 8pm
Shop anytime you want!
6️⃣Bukit Bintang
Another place which you should check out both in the morning & evening for different vibes. But visiting in the evening is a must!
7️⃣ Jalan Alor Food Street
Time: 2:30pm to 12am (But most stalls are open from 7pm)
Visit during the starting hours or around 10pm to be able to enjoy the food walk. It gets really crowded in between.
8️⃣ Aquaria KLCC
Time: 10am to 7pm (weekdays) & 9am to 8pm (weekends)
It's a must visit if you have kids! Try to go during the weekdays in the morning or afternoon for less crowds.
9️⃣ KLCC Park
Time: 6am to 10pm
You can take the stroll or jog in the morning & watch the light show starting from 7:30pm.
🔟 Merdeka 118
Don't miss the night view when the tower lights up!

READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING THE LANGKAWI ISLAND HOPPING TOUR:
🔹Shared tours are much more cost-effective than private ones. You'll be roaming by yourself anyway once you get down at the spots, so just for the boat ride it doesn't make sense to spend 8-10 times the cost for private tours.
🔹Morning tours are more preferable as the afternoon heat gets unbearable. You can also spot some wildlife activity in the morning (check our Day 4 vlog)
🔹Entry to the Dayang Bunting Lake costs 20RM extra per person, so make sure to carry cash.
🔹You can also add-on activities like paddle boating, kayaking, etc at Dayang Bunting at an extra cost.
🔹Wear your swimsuit underneath if you plan on swimming, because changing facilities are limited & will cut down your alloted time to enjoy the island.
🔹The speed boat ride is very fast and bumpy (and also a lot of fun!) so if you have any history of sea-sickness, please take the required medicine before the ride starts.
🔹Booking with a reliable company is very important. Our initial tour booking got cancelled even after confirmation & maybe we got lucky, because the tour we booked after that turned out to be the best! Proper communication via WhatsApp, on-time pickup from the meeting spot, giving us time for photos even during the ride & sufficient time to enjoy the islands.

Things to do on Day 4 in Malaysia:
🔹Wake up & have local breakfast with a view of the beach in Langkawi
🔹Go for the Island Hopping tour (Comment for the exact link of the activity)
🔹Enjoy the speed boat ride past multiple islands & scenic views
🔹Enter the Dayang Bunting Geoforest Park & swim at the Dayang Bunting Lake (also called the Lake of the Pregnant Maiden)
🔹Watch the eagles surround our boat as the boat operators feed the eagles
🔹Enjoy fish feeding in the middle of the ocean
🔹Get mesmerized at the pristine white sand beach in Beras Basah Island
🔹Watch the sunset & the dancing Transformers in Cenang Beach

Jalan Alor Food Street is a must-visit place in Kuala Lumpur!
The decked up street, Chinese lanterns, aroma of delicious food, colourful stalls & hundreds of food items to choose from- it's an experience you just can't miss in KL! ❤️

Budget: 50-100RM will be enough for two people to eat here.

Things to do on Day 3 in Malaysia:
🔹Soak in the last morning in Kuala Lumpur, take a dip in the infinity pool & admire the KL skyline.
🔹Fly to Langkawi (you can shop & eat at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport on the way).
🔹Check-in to your hotel (Pantai Cenang is the best locality to stay in).
🔹Catch a magical sunset at the Cenang Beach.
🔹Take a walk through the streets of Cenang.
🔹Have local food for dinner at the Cenang Food Truck area

DON'T GO TO THE BATU CAVES WITHOUT READING THIS!!

1. Reach by 7-8am to avoid the crowd & extreme heat. It can get difficult to climb so many steps (272 to be precise!) in Kuala Lumpur's mid-day & afternoon heat. Alternatively, you can try visiting in the evening as well.

2. Grab & KTM Komuter are the two main ways to reach the Batu Caves. But the frequency of KTM Komuter is very less compared to the other train lines, so check the train timings & plan accordingly or you might have to wait an hour at the station! Also, the KTM Commuter doesn't accept cash unlike the Monorail.

3. Don't fall for this SCAM!! Entry to the Batu Caves is free. There's a popular scam running there where some locals direct tourists towards the Ramayana Caves at the entry point, which is chargeable.

4. If you are in doubt whether you should climb all the way to the top, we would suggest you should! Otherwise the experience remains incomplete.

5. BEWARE of the monkeys!! They will snatch anything they see in your hands. So don't carry food, bottle or any small stuff in your hand.

So many tourists miss this beautiful temple while travelling in Kuala Lumpur!!
🔹Take a Grab to reach the temple since public transport is not easily available in this route.
🔹Visit around 6/6:30pm & stay till 8pm to see both sides of the temple. The temple looks beautiful as the sky changes hue & the lanterns light up!
🔹The temple gets additional decorations put up around Chinese New Year, so you can plan accordingly if the time suits you.

Things to do on Day 2 in Kuala Lumpur:
🔹Climb 272 colourful steps at Batu Caves
🔹Have breakfast at Ho Kow Hainam Kopitiam in Chinatown
🔹Walk through the alleys of Kwai Chai Hong & take beautiful photos
🔹Shop for souvenirs in Petaling Street & try some local street food
🔹Take a dip in the pool with a view of the KL skyline
🔹Visit Thean Hou Temple in the evening & wait for the lanterns to light up
🔹Soak in the vibe at Bukit Bintang & try out local food for dinner
