A little look behind the scenes at our @alphabetbrighton build 🎛️

We loved delivering this project and continue to support the venue with ongoing technical management.

Thanks to @dimesounds and @mattbrowndrums.6161 for chatting to us about their experience.

Get in touch if you’ve got an installation or production project coming up.

A little throwback to Glasto 22. Our founder Kyle Blackburn got asked to mix the talented @hakbaker Saturday morning show, and he was joined onstage by the wonderful @petedohertyyy.

Meet some of the team.

A show takes people with different skills, perspectives and a shared love of making live music happen.

Here are six of the people who work with Soundfangled: Tori McCall, Toby Keel, Jacob McTighe, Réad Godber, Dave Laycock and Nixie Kibbey.

From the production office to the stage and sound desk, their care, creativity and practical know-how help bring it all together.

We’re proud to work alongside them. More faces and stories from the crew to come.

Blue Note London, through a production manager’s eyes.

Two sold-out shows with @hakbaker and @samwarnertpt, a special guest appearance from @paulwellerhq, and a room that left a big impression.

Kyle takes a look around @bluenotelondon, from the discreet d&b system and room acoustics to the crew, hospitality and accessibility. His verdict: 9.5/10, with one very personal reservation about the Yamaha workflow.

Big thanks to @jonnytaylor86, @chalet4mgmt and the Blue Note team for looking after us.

What makes a great gig venue for you?

Thirty years of New Forms. Back on the road.

We’re proud to be supporting Roni Size & Reprazent on the New Forms 30th anniversary tour in June 2027.

Soundfangled Production is bringing together production management, front of house, monitors, a drum tech, a lighting engineer, crew, merchandise support and drivers. One touring team, supporting the show from venue to venue.

Swipe for the dates. See you on the road.

Our new website is live, and it brings more of Soundfangled together in one place.

Live production, installed AV systems and acoustics, with real projects, a clearer look at our services and a new RUK panel builder to explore.

Have a look around at the link in our bio. What would you like us to show you more of? by @soundfangled

Acoustic treatment should look good and feel at home.

This is our second installation with RUK Acoustics. One thing we often find missing is choice. Plenty of acoustic panels do the job, but their appearance can feel like an afterthought.

With our system, you can choose the fabric, frame, trim and grille colours to suit your space. From a quiet finish that blends in to something with a little more character, the design is part of the work.

The grilles have an acoustic role too. We consider their pattern and open surface area as part of the design. Covering some of the absorber changes how much sound it absorbs, while the grille helps scatter reflections. That balance lets us manage the room’s sound while keeping some life in it.

For this kitchen, oak details, blue fabric and patterned grilles helped the treatment feel part of the home. The most rewarding feedback has been hearing that the homeowner can enjoy spending time there with friends again.

We want to make systems that look beautiful, work well and feel good to live with.

If you’re thinking about improving your space, we’d love to hear from you.

We were approached to help a lady in her seventies who was finding her kitchen increasingly uncomfortable.

With significant hearing loss, following conversations was already difficult. Add several people talking, kitchen appliances and lots of hard surfaces, and the room could become overwhelming, sometimes painfully so.

We wanted to make it easier to spend time together in there, while keeping the kitchen feeling warm and lived in.

For our second RUK installation, we focused on reducing the mid-frequency reflections without taking all the life out of the room. The recorded clap comparison suggests around 40% less decay. More importantly, the homeowner tells us the changes have helped her enjoy her kitchen again. She can now spend time in there with friends and feel comfortable joining the conversation.

The finish mattered too. Custom frames, trims and grilles helped the treatment sit naturally alongside the kitchen’s existing oak details. The white ceiling absorber has blended in so well that visiting friends haven’t noticed it.

The wall panel will also double as a family noticeboard for photographs and a calendar. Covering some of the surface will affect absorption, so we’ve talked through how to keep that balance. It needs to work for everyday family life too.

We also repositioned the lights around the ceiling treatment and are looking at further ways to make the lighting more comfortable.

It’s been lovely to hear what a difference the changes have made.

If you have a space that feels difficult to be in, we’d love to help. Soundfangled brings together acoustics, air quality and lighting through our acoustics and environmental design service. by @soundfangled

It takes a village — and this is ours.

Around 60 people came out and worked under the Soundfangled remit at We Out Here this year: paid crew, volunteers, core team members and people who simply stepped in and helped when something needed doing.

Every one of those roles matters. Across 22 areas, with an enormous amount of equipment and a wider technical team of around 400 people, nothing happens in isolation. It all needs planning, moving, checking, operating, fixing and coordinating — and that takes a team.

We will never manage to thank every person properly in one post, but if you were there, this is for you. Thank you for the care, skill, patience, humour and hard work you brought to the field. You all played a part in delivering a brilliant event, and we are very proud of what we achieved together.

Big love from Soundfangled. 💛

It takes a village to build something with real wonder in it.

Rhythm Corner has been a three-year process - iterative, collaborative and shaped by everyone involved.

In year one, Soundfangled began with the screens: exploring what might happen if we changed their orientation and allowed the venue to be visually led. That first year was about understanding what was possible through their placement.

In year two, we changed the configuration and introduced more panelling. That was when Fables joined the process, and the venue began to find a stronger architectural language.
This year, we returned to some of the thinking from year one, improved the architecture and brought the visual language of Rhythm Corner into conversation with The Bowl and The Grove. The result felt cohesive - not like a collection of separate technical and creative ideas, but one complete venue.

There was no single original vision. Soundfangled may have started the process, but Fables refined and executed the creative, and every company and person involved brought something essential. That is exactly the point: technical and creative integration works best when it is genuinely collaborative.

When the press calls the venue state-of-the-art, it makes all the hard work, blood, sweat and tears that went into creating it feel completely worthwhile.

A huge thank you to ATC, Lightwave, VizBiz, Fables Creative, RSH Audio, Trust Events and RASE Productions — and to the Fables team, including Rosie, Saul, Thomas, Swaino and Ben.

We are incredibly proud of what the village made together, and very much looking forward to seeing where this kind of creative-technical collaboration takes us next.

It takes a village.

A proper thank you to everyone who helped bring @weoutherefest to life this year — the artists, crews, suppliers, stage teams, site teams, office teams and all the people working away behind the scenes.

First, @claregoodchild our Event Director, quietly holding an enormous number of moving parts together. We realise how important and challenging that job can be, so we want to say a proper thank you.

@tomjwilkinson87 and the Organised Chaos team for the site, and for taking on what is definitely one of the hardest jobs on the festival. @fables_creative and every member of the Fables crew. Our brilliant office team: Sam Bailey on overnight production and on-site supplier coordination, @ellen_soundgirl on assistant production, keeping everything moving, and @torimccall, who joined us this year as Office Manager and became part of a very strong team. And not forgetting @ogilvie_tom, our new Main Stage Manager.

Thank you to @joe__barnett, @noahballnoahballnoahball, @gillespeterson and @joshaitman. And thank you to all of our audio, lighting, staging and local-crew suppliers — you know who you are, and none of this happens without you.

There are far too many people to name individually. Across 22 areas, with around 400 technical staff and a remarkable amount of equipment to coordinate, every role matters. If you were there, thank you. You helped make something very special.

It takes a village, and this is a very special one. 💛
