It’s ya boi JR Tallents… that’s JR, 2 L’s, Tall as Hell in case you couldn’t tell! And in case you can’t tell… August 1, 2026 wasn’t just another Saturday… it was history in Pomona, NY. I’m a hometown product—born in Harlem, but raised in Rockland County—and on this day I watched my city remind the world that greatness doesn’t need permission. This wasn’t just another festival. This was culture. Community. Fashion. Music. Entrepreneurship. New York energy at its finest. Major respect to Jeffery Santana, Randy Palanco, and the entire HypeFest family for bringing a star-studded lineup to Rockland. The talent was undeniable. Shout out to @cosi.pari, @ovijozi, @2letterking and every artist who touched that stage and left a piece of themselves behind. And a special salute to @iamcurlygen , who flat out stole the show. Her performance and dance team brought superstar energy from start to finish. Now let me say this… Everybody has an opinion after the event is over. The critics always show up late. But while they were talking, history was happening. Don’t let background noise distract you from forward motion. Don’t believe the hype… believe the work.
