SURPRISE! WE MOVED BACK HOME TO MS! 🤪📍(& we kept it a secret from our families)

lots to unpack (figuratively & literally) but we are so grateful for the Lord’s goodness & faithfulness over us while we’ve been in Dallas the last few years. We couldn’t be more grateful for our TX time, but there’s truly no place like home. 🥹

I considered posting a wedding photo or one from our recent adventure to Atlanta for our anniversary, but none of them sat right with me. I saw this one & for some reason, it stuck out. I think it’s because it’s real, raw, unfiltered, and all natural. It’s us in our natural habitat: at home, comfy clothes on, & curled up on the couch. Looking at it got me thinking about all the things I wanted to say to encapsulate the last two years of marriage, but even more, I became overwhelmingly aware of the fact that we are living in an answered prayer right now.

We both have prayed specifically for our spouses, before ever dating. Spouses we didn’t know God had for us, but we hoped! Spouses who could love us unconditionally the way Jesus has. Spouses who would walk alongside us & be with us, through our best & worst times. Spouses who would love God more than they would love us. Spouses who would always remember that Jesus is the center of everything we do & everything we are.

only to discover, we were praying toward one another.

thank you, Jesus.

may we always remember that you are first & we are second. may we continue to have abundant grace upon grace for one another. may our marriage continue to be a reflection of the love you’ve displayed for us. may we never forget that you are the center & you are the foundation for which we stand upon. without you, we can do nothing. (John 15:5). may we never forget that we do not deserve your love but you gave it to us willingly. may we continue to date one another, just as we have from the beginning: always pursuing the other person. may we continue to glorify you, honor one another & have fun!

may we always be reminded that we were once dead but now alive.

Graduated with my Masters (MBA). Bittersweet to finally be done with school (hopefully) at the age of 23. #SMTTT #TYJ

1 whole year being married!! Man the adventures were plentiful with plenty of laughs along the way. I am so thankful for the friends and family that were with us along the way!
