🍌Bananas grow from plants not trees. The trunk is actually a bundle of leaf stalks called a “pseudostem”
The plant grows from a rhizome underground. A rhizome is a thick underground stem that grows sideways and sends out roots and new shoots that store food and help the plant spread.

The rhizome shoots up leaves, then produces a flower stalk. That flower becomes a bunch of bananas. Each banana is a fruit that develops from a flower, and the whole bunch is often called a hand or a bunch depending on size.

أَوَلَمْ يَتَفَكَّرُوا فِي أَنفُسِهِم مَّا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَأَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ النَّاسِ بِلِقَاءِ رَبِّهِمْ لَكَافِرُونَ
(Quran, Surat Ar-Room verse 8)

Translation of the meaning: “Do they not contemplate within themselves? Allah has not created the heavens and the earth and what is in between them except in truth and for a specified term. And indeed, many of the people regarding the meeting with their Lord, are disbelievers.”
