November has a lot in store for us & gratitude looks like showing up.

Start by setting aside time to worship defiantly at First Wednesday Worship on Nov 4, then find your next step at your campus this month. by @southlandcc

Many of us believe that God loves us as long as we keep it together. But the gospel says God saw us at our worst and loved us anyway.

On Sunday, guest speaker Jonathan Moynihan walked us through Ephesians 3:14-21 and challenged us to wrestle with what we really think God thinks of us, and to stop trying to earn the love He freely gives.

Covered in gray dots or chasing gold stars, we all carry labels that try to tell us who we are.

Today, guest speaker Jonathan Moynihan walked us through Ephesians 3 and reminded us that who we are is defined by the love of God, not the words of others. by @southlandcc

See you tomorrow, church!

Grab your one more and walk in together at 9:30am, 11:15am or 5pm. by @southlandcc

Lauryn spent years believing she was too much for people and too broken for God. She kept the hardest parts of her story to herself, and the weight kept growing.

Then one Sunday, she found out what it means to finally set it down.

Southland is a church full of stories. See Lauryn’s full story at southland.church/stories by @southlandcc

This Sunday, let's pack the room.

We're going deep into Ephesians 3 into the love of God, and Jonathan Moynihan is opening up God's Word with us.

The clocks fall back Saturday night, so even the 9:30am service will feel like sleeping in. Show up rested. Show up ready. Grab your one more and bring them with you. by @southlandcc

Money can’t change a heart.
Governments can’t change a heart.

Only Jesus can.

Don't build your life on dumb things.
Not on sinful things.
Not even on good things.

Build your life on Jesus. by @southlandcc

A cornerstone sets the shape for everything built on top of it. Get it right and the whole structure holds. Get it wrong and nothing lines up.

Does Jesus set the decisive shape of your life?

Don’t just say yes without thinking about it. Our calendars, bank statements and social feeds usually answer before we do.

Good things make terrible foundations.

Today, Scott continued our Identity series and asked us to take an honest look at what we’re building on. Marriage, family, work, and politics are all good in their place, but none of them can be the cornerstone. Only Jesus.

Tomorrow we’re building on the only foundation that holds!

Josh and Jenna’s daughter lives with Rett syndrome, a rare neurological condition that affects everything from her mobility to her speech. Life looks different for their family, but they never have to wonder if she has a place at church.

On Sunday mornings, she’s in Superstars with leaders who are patient, kind, and equipped. She’s hearing about Jesus too.

“There’s always a place for our special girl, in God’s kingdom and at Southland.”

We believe everyone deserves a place to belong, and this ministry makes sure that happens. Text NEXT to 40411 to learn more about our special needs environments. by @southlandcc
