Pre-Textos.

That’s a wrap on my time in Cali 🇨🇴, but hopefully just the beginning of my salsa caleña journey! Thank you to all of the lovely people who made this experience so amazing.

Learning from the legendary @xiomar.rivas was just incredible. Not only did she make detailed adjustments to my technique (we love), she also taught me how to feel the music and enjoy it. AND she was so kind. Gracias Profe Xiomar, fue una experiencia inolvidable.

An enormous thank you as well to the very friendly and amazing @karencocuy0102 who almost made my head explode with all the different steps she showed me! I’m so in awe of how Karen moves. Australians - let’s try and bring her to Australia one day!

Many thanks as well to @soyandrearivas who added to my budding vocabulary of Cali steps, and to @elysia_ego29 who was so warm and welcoming and made me feel like a caleña dancer! Thanks as well to the teachers at @stepdancecali including @evelynlaurido , and everyone at @visajecaleno , @latopatolondraoficial and @salsapuracali .

Lastly, thanks to all of the caleñxs who showed me that at its core, salsa is about connecting with each other and enjoying ourselves! The big take away for me was that while technique and tricks are impressive, there is no point sin disfrutar 🥰 taken in Cali, Colombia by @soyandrearivas

❤‍🩹 taken in Jardín Botánico San Jorge Ibagué by @soyandrearivas
