Prada Waist Down 2004-2009 🪡 The skirt, both familiar and radical translates movement into form, shaping how we walk, sit & dance. Waist Down reappraised the skirt as a site of aesthetic and sociological innovation, revealing its infinite capacity for reinvention. Conceived by AMO and Miuccia Prada, the exhibition brought together 100 skirts from Prada’s archive since 1988, tracing their evolution across cities and cultures. First staged in Tokyo, it has since travelled to Shanghai, New York, Los Angeles and Seoul, unfolding a narrative of motion, design and the ongoing dialogue between body and fabric. ★ ★ ★ Sozo Amour exists at the intersection of past and future, preservation and reinvention. The name reflects this duality: Sozo, the Japanese word for create, and Amour, the French word for love. I chose Sozo not just for its meaning but for what Japan represents to me. The first time I visited, I felt a different kind of freedom, where self-expression wasn’t about fitting in or standing out, but about existing as you are. Fashion there felt instinctive, personal & unapologetic. That energy shaped Sozo Amour, a space where clothing isn’t just worn but lived in. Then there’s Amour, a nod to France’s imprint on fashion, where style is effortless, ingrained, and deeply felt. Sozo Amour exists in this space, where clothing carries history, identity, and connection. From the beginning, this platform has been about curation with intention. Archival designer fashion remains at the core of what we do, pieces that hold weight, that tell stories beyond trends. SKANT & PANKEKI presents ‘There She Goes’ 🧸 ‘There She Goes’ merges fashion and playful art in a collaborative runway show and group exhibition that explores the imagination and expression of our inner child. This yearning to identify with our youthful selves is revealed through the craftsmanship of soft toys and accessories handmade by 10 artists, combined with the curation of past colourful designer garments, locally sourced from 4 vintage clothing store brands. At its heart, ‘There She Goes’ is about creating a space for those who have ever felt caught somewhere between high fashion, pop culture, with hopes to inspire the childlike freedom to naturally be ourselves.
