A week ago, I turned 26 on the 26th ✨

That same week, I found out some amazing news. I will be attending Mississippi State University in the fall to complete a dual PhD program in Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Education! That’s right, DUAL. DOUBLE 🙏🏽

Last year, I was surrounded by a lot of things that weren’t making me happy. I always wanted to get a PhD, but I was so riddled with imposter syndrome that when presented the opportunity several times in my life, I rejected the idea almost immediately. I’m happy to say that I’m in a position in my life where I can work, get my PhD, and literally do every single thing that I said I wanted to do.

Yesterday, I graduated from the historic Tuskegee University, Aerospace Engineering. There is literally less than 1% of all engineers that are BLACK, FEMALE, and AEROSPACE. I am a hidden figure who is no longer hidden. All love Skegee. Thanks for molding me into the woman I’ve always wanted to be.
