Another day another stabbing in Mamdani’s #NYC. Ending the month of August with a bang as #NYPD shoot and kill a woman who slashed 2 people in #TimesSquare one of them fatally. Before her death was announced at the hospital the mayor had cleared his schedule and was en route to visit the suspect hoping she would get the best care in the city. No word yet if the police will be disciplined for opening fire since they completely ignored the signs all around Times Square that say #Guns are banned. For those keeping track that’s like the 10th stabbing in NYC this month including 2 from the Dominican Day parade. The Chinese father and son stabbing, the mother of 5 stabbed in a Brooklyn bar, and the double stabbing in the Bronx just last week. #Minneapolis #police executed a search warrant on an apartment where Representative Ilhan Omar’s son lives, recovering firearms and ammunition. Authorities arrested the congresswoman’s son’s roommate, Abdulrahman Abdi, on a #weapons charge. Representative #Omar’s son was not arrested or charged in connection with the seized items. Guess guilty by association only applies to everyone else. It’s possible all of this was a simple misunderstanding and the #guns were just world war eleven memorabilia. #Barack #Obama Elementary School in Richmond, Virginia, was closed indefinitely on August 24, 2026, after staff returning to the building found additional #mold growth on equipment, computers, and behind bulletin boards. The closure delays the start of the #school year while crews perform #deep cleaning and antimicrobial fogging. “Out of an abundance of caution, we decided to send everyone home so we could thoroughly re-clean.
