From galaxies beyond the naked eye to the vibrant streets eThekwini, our captain, SpacePose, takes us to a whole new world of music and dance.

A connoisseur of groove and master of the party – this DJ, producer, and sound engineer fearlessly challenges the versatility of Gqom fusing it with Afro Tech, Funk, and Jersey, with a touch of Electro.

Embracing the unmatched energy found only in Durban, SpacePose’s unique approach to sampling and mixing different genres with the hard bass, dark sounds, and full-blown noise results in sets described only as “The Guaranteed Groove.” Inspired by the likes of DJ Lag, Griffith Vigo, and Citizen Boy, he quickly found his own voice within the genre.

Taking his music to the next level with the creation of “Electronic Gqom Music,” a ground-breaking new sub-genre that opens the dancefloor to every kind of grooviestthere is. It’s his unique perspective on innovative sounds that SpacePose has become a leading figure in the South African music, dance, and nightlife scene.
