LAUNDRY - ABOVE BENCH HANGER

While we all try to maximise laundry space, overheads are often under-utilised. Take full advantage of this by installing a rod above your sink or washer/dryer. Having the rod easily accessible can prove incredibly convenient when it comes time to dry clothing, especially hand-washed or delicate items. by @spacergroup

OFF-CENTRE BASIN

Although not for the perfectionists out there, installing the basin and tap off centre on smaller vanities can be helpful, particularly with smaller vanities.

If the vanity is 900mm or even 750mm wide and the basin is centred, you are left with minimal bench space on either side, however if it is pushed to one side, it creates much more comfortable and usable space on one side of the vanity. by @spacergroup

We even surprised ourselves with this amazing bathroom transformation.
After removing the dividing wall we were able to create an spacious shower that didn’t at all impede on the rest of the space.

Spacer Tip: Although single shower panels look amazing and really open up a bathroom, be sure the shower is big enough/has the correct layout which doesn’t result in water splashing out of the shower area. taken in Brunswick West, Victoria by @spacergroup

SKYLIGHT

Creating height and light are two keys to transforming a space and skylights provide both.
In this particular space we framed out the ceiling then plastered the void up to the VELUX product.

Each space is different, however with various products on the market for each specific application, you will be sure to find the best fit.

Bathroom Renovation, Burwood VIC

With water damaging the foundations of this bathroom, a full reno was required urgently.
This particular space needed a little more work than usual. Having to deliver the space for someone with special needs, we needed to re-enforce the floors, adding additional stumps and bearers, to ensure the overall space allowed for wheelchair access and ease of movement.

BARN DOOR

One of our favourite space saving solutions, barn doors are a simple yet effective option when working with spall spaces, in particular bathrooms. By adding a barn door over a standard door you create more room within the bathroom and save hassles associated with cavity sliders, plus they look awesome.

SPACER TIP: Install a full length mirror on the bathroom side of you barn slider. In a small unit or house, having a full length mirror can be priceless.
