When as a designer you finally get time to consider your own project 🙌

My process is always the narrative first, how you move through & use a space. I’m constantly collecting images, magazines/pintetest/real-life (imagine!), then sketches follow and finally draft visuals!

I always say, the visual is not the starting point, it is not where ideas are generated, this is super important.

Because I know the space well I started with a visual strategy, now the spatial design begins! What will fit & where. After 15 years I have a good eye for guessing dimensions 😅 but accuracy is key! #myhouse #renovation #lisbon by @spaces_of_use_

Currently helping friends renovate in Paddington, London.

They were keen for a neutral but warm palette and clean contemporary fixtures which would work with the Victorian era of the building. Looking forward to seeing progress soon! #interiordesign #renders #london #lisbon #interiordesignstudio taken in London, United Kingdom by @spaces_of_use_

Fair Lisboa. I’m still intermittently surprised by the beauty around me.

Sometimes sitting on a bench I’ll be struck by a feeling of awe at the bright blue sky or an overgrown bougainvillea bush cascading over a dilapidated wall!

It’s a special city, a mix of unkempt chaos and immense beauty, grandeur and wildness 🇵🇹 taken in Lisbon, Portugal by @spaces_of_use_

Latest moods for a project in central London starting in September.

I’m a fan of neutral walls, clay paints, polished plaster adding texture and interest. A plain, warm canvas to build upon.

This lovely apartment will have a gorgeous, lush courtyard complete with existing slate slabs and an array of potted plants.

More to come! ✨#farrowandballpaint #paintandpaperlibrary #clayworks #firedearth #bertandmay #nordicknots by @spaces_of_use_

Comporta house project #seventies

A fun scheme. Look and feel of a 1970s Hollywood Hills bungalow but with height! Natural beach undertones and a polished modern feel.
