SpaceX just turned “impossible” into a Tuesday afternoon.

What used to look like a high-budget sci-fi movie has officially become routine engineering. When a Falcon 9 booster screams back through the atmosphere, it isn’t just falling. It is calculating. With engines relighting and guidance systems adjusting in milliseconds, these massive steel structures perform a high-stakes ballet to land with pinpoint precision on drone ships in the middle of the ocean.

For decades, the space industry operated on a “use it once and throw it away” model. Rockets were magnificent, multi-billion dollar fireworks that vanished after a single flight. SpaceX shattered that logic by proving that reusability isn’t just a gimmick. It is the only way to make humanity a multi-planetary species.

With over 600 successful booster landings now in the books, the focus has shifted to Starship. We are watching the team attempt to catch falling skyscrapers with mechanical arms, a level of audacity that was unthinkable even five years ago. Whether you are a fan of the leadership or a skeptic of the mission, the sheer technical brilliance is undeniable.

We are no longer just dreaming about the stars. We are building the infrastructure to reach them.

Would you bet your health on AI?

Palantir’s chief technology officer, Shyam Sankar, says some AI researchers have started smoking cigarettes to show other researchers how strongly they believe in AI. The idea is that AI will soon be powerful enough to cure cancer, so the health risks don’t matter.

Sankar didn’t name anyone or offer any evidence, and he wasn’t praising it. He brought it up as an example of how extreme the faith in AI has become in parts of Silicon Valley, where some people treat AI almost like a god.

Real or not, it’s a strange sign of the times. AI is being treated as a reason to stop worrying about the future.

Is this confidence or just reckless? 👇

This is the first criminal case of its kind in the US, and it shows exactly how AI can be used to cheat the music industry.

From 2017 to 2024, Michael Smith, a 54-year-old from North Carolina, used AI to create hundreds of thousands of songs. He needed “a TON of songs fast” to avoid getting flagged. He then created thousands of fake accounts using fake emails and fraudulently obtained debit cards, and had them stream his songs nonstop. Spreading the streams across so many tracks helped him stay under the radar for years.

In April 2023, his bots streamed his AI music 80.9 million times on YouTube Music family plans, almost 9 times more than Taylor Swift’s entire catalog got that same month.

The royalties he collected came out of the same pool that pays real artists, more than $8 million in total. He has now been sentenced to 18 months in prison and must give up all of it.

Should AI-generated songs be allowed on streaming platforms at all?

You don’t see this every day.

After years of waiting, Elon Musk finally unveiled the new Tesla Roadster, and it might be the craziest car ever built.

At the livestreamed launch, the Roadster drove up a giant curved ramp, went fully upside down, launched off the end, flipped in midair, and landed. Then it cleared a whole row of Teslas in a single jump. Musk’s reaction: “Well, it worked.”

The secret is SpaceX tech. Musk says it has altitude control thrusters plus main thrusters in the rear, so it can “basically fly like a rocket.” A fan suction system is what keeps it glued to the ramp while it’s upside down.

The numbers Tesla is claiming are just as wild: 0 to 60 mph in under one second, a top speed over 230 mph on the Rocket version, and more than 300 miles of range. It comes in three versions: Performance, Thrust, and Rocket, with the Rocket being invite only. Reservations are already open.

Even Musk admitted it’s “not necessarily a safety optimised car.”

Would you get behind the wheel of this thing?

Your Wi-Fi router can tell where you are in a room, and it doesn’t need a camera to do it.

Wi-Fi signals bounce off walls, furniture, and people. Each time they do, they leave behind tiny changes in the signal called Channel State Information, or CSI. For years engineers wrote these changes off as background noise. Now researchers feed them into AI, and it can work out how people are moving, how they’re standing, and even build a rough skeleton of their body.

It works because the human body is mostly water, and water reflects 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radio waves in fairly predictable ways. Raising an arm, shifting your weight, or even breathing changes the signal a little. Researchers train neural networks on CSI data side by side with camera footage, so the AI learns which signal patterns match which movements. With sensitive enough hardware, some teams have even picked up breathing and heart rate from those tiny rhythmic changes.

The idea goes back to 1935, when Robert Watson-Watt showed that radio waves could reveal an aircraft in the sky, which laid the groundwork for radar. Wi-Fi sensing uses the same basic principle, just with the router already sitting in your living room.

It’s a wild example of a technology built for communication turning into a way to sense the world. Where do you think this ends up first: healthcare, smart homes, or security?

Google just launched Gemini 4 Argon, and it’s doing more than writing code.

According to Google, Argon helped researchers design new enzymes that showed real activity in lab tests. Enzymes power almost everything in biology, from medicine to food production, and designing new ones usually takes scientists months or years.

Google says it’s already using Argon internally. It beat a published quantum computing benchmark by 40% in minutes, found memory savings across Google’s data centers that freed up more than 300 TB, and rewrote video software to run 2.7 times faster. It can also produce up to 1 million tokens in a single answer, enough to work through huge problems in one go.

It’s rolling out now in the Gemini app for Pro and Ultra subscribers, and to developers through the Gemini API.

Is Google back in the lead, or is this just another model?

Most people type into ChatGPT the way they’d text a friend, then wonder why the answer misses the point.

A few simple symbols can fix that. Headings split your prompt into sections, asterisks highlight what matters most, brackets turn prompts into reusable templates, pipes list your options, and triple quotes keep your pasted text separate from your instructions.

It works in Claude and Gemini too.

Save this for your next prompt, and comment “PROMPTS” to get 10 ready-to-use templates built this way 👇

Last week, someone got GTA 5 running in a web browser, and Rockstar’s lawyers shut it down within hours. It didn’t stay dead for long.

A developer known as C22 took that browser version and rebuilt it into a native iPhone app in just a few days. On an iPhone 17 it runs at 50 to 60 FPS and uses about 1.1GB of RAM. It isn’t streamed from a PC or console, and it doesn’t need an emulator or a jailbroken phone. The developer says AI helped with parts of the recompilation, while much of the code was still written by hand.

Since then, other developers have gotten it running on iPads at 60 FPS too.

It’s unofficial and not from Rockstar, but it shows how powerful phones have become, and how hard it is to stop leaked code once it’s out.

Would you play GTA 5 on your phone? 👇

Nicolas Cage just picked his side in Hollywood’s AI fight.

Speaking at his New York Comic Con panel, Cage revealed that he refused to sign a waiver allowing Amazon to use artificial intelligence on his upcoming series Spider-Noir. He called Amazon a very AI-friendly company, pointing to its reported $50 billion investment in OpenAI.

He says that choice means he’s probably done working with the studio, and he’s fine with that.

As AI gets better at copying faces and voices, more actors are being asked to sign away rights to their digital selves. Cage is one of the biggest names so far to publicly say no.

Would you have signed the waiver? 👇

Two college students built a pair of gloves that turn sign language into spoken words.

They’re called SignAloud, created by Thomas Pryor and Navid Azodi, two University of Washington students who won the Lemelson-MIT Student Prize for the project. That prize is why so many people assume they came from MIT.

The gloves are packed with sensors that track the position and movement of every finger and the hand in 3D space. That data gets sent to a computer, where a statistical model, similar in spirit to a neural network, matches the gestures to words and speaks them out loud almost instantly.

The goal was to make something light and comfortable enough to wear every day, more like a hearing aid than a piece of lab equipment.

While most people are busy asking AI to write poems, projects like this show what the tech can do when it’s aimed at a real human problem: helping people be understood.
