Aaaaand we’re back 🤫

It’s been about 3 months since I had thumb surgery to repair my ruptured collateral ligament. During my time off I did some traveling, hung out with friends and family, watched a bunch of basketball, helped ready the new Tension Training Center for opening, and spent way too much time on the stationary bike.

2 weeks ago I got cleared to climb again. And I’m currently sitting at 6 sessions back. Still a long way to go in terms of thumb mobility and strength but I couldn’t be more psyched to be back on the wall!

Featured TB2 Spray boulders:
- “Honey Honey” 🍯 V8 @ 45°
- “Dance of the Pleiades” V8 @ 45°
- “Æ Æ Æ” V9 @ 45°
- “That’s a Pretty Pinch” V10 @ 45°
- “Like Loose but for Mortals” V10 @ 45°

“Clapped Shins” 👎 V12 @ 50° on the TB2 Spray Layout — Likely my last TB2 boulder for some time :/ Took an unfortunate wipeout while skiing this past weekend and did some pretty significant damage to the ulnar collateral ligament in my thumb. Spent most of this week getting imaging done (MRI overlayed on the send footy 😂), scheduling myself for surgery, and making some plans regarding the recovery process. Honestly, it’s been a mess, but I feel lucky to have some great people in my corner :) Already feeling motivated for the comeback tour 😤 @tensionclimbing

P.S. This boulder was extremely hard for me and sending it stood as a marker of improvement in this style. Looking forward to taking down some more anti-style blocs when I’m back by @spadaboarda

“Axial Tilt” 🌎 V13 @ 55° (FA) on the TB2 Spray Layout — An eliminate/extension of “Perihelion” set by @anglinside 🫡 This version adds a slightly harder crux sequence and dicey crimp outro 💅 Glad that @tenchinspray was there to witness the sketchy send @tensionboard #tensionboard by @spadaboarda
