✨ Still trying to process this one… ✨

Being named a Queensland winner of the Bunnings Women in Apprenticeships Awards 2026 is something I never saw coming.

If you had told teenage Hayley, or even Hayley in her 20s, that one day she’d be standing here as an electrical apprentice receiving an award like this, she probably wouldn’t have believed you. Yet here we are.

Walking into Bunnings Newstead and being welcomed by so many amazing staff was incredibly overwhelming in the best possible way. Store Manager Katrina gave the most thoughtful speech and had clearly taken the time to learn about my journey, my career and everything I’ve been working towards. It meant more than I can put into words.

To my friends who came along to celebrate with me, thank you. Having your support there made the day even more special.

This award isn’t just about me. It’s about taking chances, backing yourself, starting over in your 30s and proving that it’s never too late to chase a completely different path.

I’m so grateful, still a little shocked and incredibly proud of how far I’ve come. 💛

Thank you to @bunnings for the recognition, the beautiful ceremony and the amazing prizes. I’ll never forget it.

This Women in Trades day, we’re celebrating women who are breaking barriers and building the future.

Meet Hayley Campbell, a third-year apprentice electrician working FIFO in the mining industry and inspiring thousands of women through her trade journey.

“If you don’t see representation in the room, then be that representation.”

From starting her apprenticeship in her 30s to becoming a role model for the next generation of tradeswomen, Hayley’s story is proof that it’s never too late to back yourself.

Read Hayley’s full story and see how she’s helping change the face of the trades.

✨ My trophy finally arrived from Future Lady Tradies for Social Media Impact Influencer of the Year! 🏆

Still screaming, crying, throwing up 🤭 because this honestly means the world.

So grateful to be recognised for something that started as just sharing my journey and now gets to influence, impact and encourage other women to step into the trades, chase their goals in their 30s and back themselves in male populated industries.

If “influencer” means helping more girls pick up a trade, then yeah, I’m a damn proud one.⚡️

Thank you so much @futureladytradies for this honour 💕 taken in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia by @sparketcadet

RESIDENTIAL EXPERIENCE 💡
Ya girl started Resi yesterday! I think as apprentices that work in industrial/mining should do some sort of Resi/domestic/commercial placement in their time ⚡️ I’ll be with this company for 6 weeks, excited to get stuck into it 🥹✨ #apprentice #mining #electrician #apprenticeship #brisbane taken in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia by @sparketcadet

Steel caps off, heels on 💙✨

Had the BEST time at the EWIT Gala Awards! Met so many amazing apprentices and women in trades, heard their stories and left with a very full heart… and approximately 47 new besties 😂

There’s something special about being in a room full of women who just get it. Different trades, different journeys, all cheering each other on. 🫶

Thank you @ewitrades for bringing us together and celebrating the incredible people in our industry. Already keen for the next one! 🥂⚡️ #ewit2026 taken in The Timber Yard by @sparketcadet
