Shouldn't have gone without a list 😅

Despite the lack of any healthy options here, it's still deeply satisfying to look at all these tiny foods that I made myself! All 3D printed or paper craft.

Part 2 of how I add detail to 3D printed miniatures:

1. Nail flocking powder to make things fuzzy. Works great on so many things - 'suede' boots, fuzzy lampshades, tiny pets...I've done a more detailed tutorial on this before, just scroll back in my feed to find it
2. Weathering paint. This stuff is SO fun. There are lots of brands and options but I like the two-part AK Rust and AK Verdigris. They create actual rust and verdigris on your minis
3. Nail stickers. I've talked about these before and they are just so good for tiny things. I used them here on tiny flip flops. I've used them on mugs, plates, pencil cases...
4. Acrylic wash. I like to dilute acrylic paint with water and wash it across textured surfaces so the pigment gets into the cracks. I wipe the excess off the raised parts of the print and voila! Instant handmade texture

I saw @mini_shoshi kids room on stories the other day and it's just so good. I had to make a room after seeing that. Almost all designed and made by me. The only things not me-made:
Rug and play tent by @bighouseminihouse
Tiny table and chairs by @re_ment_official
Paper used to make lamb pull toy by @kitiyapalaskas

I've been seeing versions of these all over and they really resonate. I've struggled with perfectionism all my life, as so many creative people do. Ironic really given that creativity is but its nature a process of explorating what happens when we try new stuff. by @sparklecious

I made a postcard to give away at the @vame_miniatures show this coming weekend at the Mount Waverley Community Centre in Melbourne. Come get one! They will be on @mini_house_of_liv table.

Here are some things you can do with the minis on the postcard:

1. First get everything cut out and assembled. Score along fold lines and carefully cut everything out. I use a blade because I can’t be trusted with scissors. I assembled the shoe box using double sided tape. I find it more effective than glue when I’m making tiny boxes. Less messy too.
2. Now the fun part! You can of course use your shoe box for your UGGs (they will be for sale at the show)
3. But you could also make it into a tiny dollhouse! I used stuff from the postcard and some of my micro furniture
4. You could make a gallery wall
5. Or a shelfie (or two)
6. Put the cookbook and baking mat in your kitchen
7. Add the trinkets to a printer’s tray (I have printer’s trays for sale at the show too)
8. Or do a tiny junk journal spread!

So many options! Did I miss any ideas? by @sparklecious
