CELEBRATE THE CULTURE AROUND YOU

CULTURE IS MORE THAN THE MUSIC WE MAKE,
THE FOOD WE EAT OR THE PLACES WE GO.

It lives in the DJ who gives a night its soundtrack.
The Emcee who knows our language.
The go-to spots.
The community advocates at an organization.
The entrepreneur who builds something we didn't have before.
These things give a place its identity.

And when we celebrate them, we are saying:
THIS MATTERED.
THESE PEOPLE WERE HERE.
WE WERE HERE.

INDEPENDENT MEDIA KEEPS OUR STORIES ALIVE.

Local platforms shine a light on homegrown talent, ideas and experiences that often go unseen. They give a voice to our communities and create spaces for real conversations.

They remind us of who we are and where we come from.

The stories shared today inspire the next generation and show the world what's possible right here.

OUR STORIES TRAVEL FURTHER WHEN WE TELL THEM OURSELVES.

SUPPORTING LOCAL TALENT KEEPS THE CULTURE GOING.

When we show up, share their work, attend their events, and invest in local talent, we help create more opportunities, more visibility, and a stronger Rhode Island.

OUR SUPPORT TODAY BUILDS WHAT TOMORROW LOOKS LIKE.

OUR CULTURE BUILDS COMMUNITY.

It brings people together across neighborhoods, generations, and different backgrounds.
It gives us a sense of pride and belonging.
It creates spaces where ideas and relationships grow.
It reminds us that we are part of something bigger than ourselves.

WE NEED TO BE IN THE ROOM TOGETHER.

Someone's story can make you feel less alone.

SOMEONE'S COURAGE CAN SPARK YOURS BACK UP.

Happy National Podcast Day 🎙️

From the early days of downloadable audio to millions of podcasts & voices around the world, podcasting changed who gets to hold the mic.

It gave us the freedom of radio but uncut, unrestricted, and with way more room to be creative. No gatekeepers deciding whose story is worth hearing. Just people telling stories, making us laugh, challenging perspectives, documenting culture, and giving a platform to voices that may have otherwise gone unheard.

That’s the beauty of podcasting: you don’t need permission to have something to say.

Happy National Podcast Day to everybody who ever picked up a mic and said, “I got something to say.” 🎙️
