Kids wanted S'mores and that made me want to try a new cocktail.

Homemade toasted marshmallow simple syrup, chocolate bitters, 4R 100 proofer (solid!), and over the top garnish. Side of Montecristo.

Does not suck.

I accidentally did dry December and half of January so I figured the best way to restart the palate was a few easy going subtle pours . . . This line up will work.

Cheers!!!

I got to pick these over a year ago and honestly I thought they were lost forever. Much to my surprise and delight they ended making it to the state on Bourbon County Day. That called for a double fresh crack and damn they are better than I remember.

Cheers!!!

Recently got a Compass Box care package in the mail and figured this was a perfect Fresh Crack Friday bottle!

Sweet and crisp on the nose once you get past the smoke and ash. A little bit of citrus but the vanilla and sugar shine through. The palate is very similar where it's a perfect balance of green and red fruits. The heavy toasted barrel makes this pour very desserty. The finish is a mile long and bounces back and forth between sweet and spice but never loses the smoke.

Couldn't be happier with this pour and I'm excited to compare it to an older Flaming Heart release.

Cheers!!!
