The Super Production Challenge series presented by Nankang held its 2026 season finale this Sunday afternoon at Circuit Mont-Tremblant as part of the Fall Classic. With Alexandre Fortin in SP and Zack Lalonde in Production already crowned champions, and Nissan having secured the manufacturers’ championship, only the Compact class title remained undecided.

As soon as the green flag waved, Blake Kelley (Honda Civic) took the lead and held it for the opening laps before Gabriel Lacombe (Honda Civic Type-R) managed to overtake him and pull away to claim his second victory of the season. Alexandre Fortin (Nissan Z), who also managed to get ahead of Kelley in the second half of the race, finished second, ahead of Kelley, Charles-André Bilodeau (Ford Mustang EcoBoost), Jonathan Manseau (Toyota GT86) and Nicolas Lévesque, who made his series debut during this 2026 season finale with a newly acquired Honda Civic Type-R.

In the Production class, Marc-André Bourdages (Honda Civic) returned to victory lane for the second time this season, ahead of Zack Lalonde (Hyundai Veloster). Lalonde came under pressure from rookie Adrien Raoult (Toyota GT86) throughout the 30-minute race. Raoult was subsequently disqualified from the results after the race (car below the minimum required weight), and Peter Hanson (Subaru BRZ) was classified 3rd ahead of Oliver Mitchison (Honda Civic).

In the Compact class, the race was once again dominated by a single driver: Patrick Desrochers (Nissan Micra). Building a substantial lead over his rivals in the opening laps, the talented rookie won the final race of the 2026 season ahead of Maïka Chamberland (Honda Fit) and Frédéric Bernier (Nissan Micra), who was consequently crowned class champion for the second consecutive year.

Mont-Tremblant – Notes & News – Sunday

• The final event of the 2026 Super Production Challenge season has been filled with surprises and unexpected twists.

• 35 cars were initially entered, but 31 cars ultimately made it to the beautiful Laurentian circuit following the withdrawal of the #89 Acura TLX Type S of Hébert / Blanchette, Crystel Charest’s #51 Mini for medical reasons, the #23 Nissan Micra Cup from Alpha One Racing due to a mechanical issue, and the third Velocity Motorsports Club car, which was heavily damaged during an endurance event.

• Just as Saturday’s activities were getting underway, the BRT team and its #70 and #71 Honda Civic Type Rs were excluded from the weekend by the management of Circuit Mont-Tremblant. While the circuit has not communicated the reasons behind the decision, we can confirm that it was related to circumstances beyond the series’ control. A disappointing end to BRT’s SPC story, as the team will not be returning in 2027.

• With fewer than 30 cars still cleared to take the track, the Compact cars joined the Production and Super Production cars for the final three races of the weekend, much to everyone’s delight.

• Empire Motorsports has reached an agreement with BRT to take possession of the #71 Civic, normally driven by Nicolas Barrette. The Trois-Rivières-based team has already begun a full preparation of the car and has already started working on the #03. Will we see two Empire cars on track Sunday? Stay tuned!

• Following Saturday’s Race #1, Mperformance’s 2026 season came to an abrupt end after an engine failure on its #66 Nissan 370Z and a clutch failure on its #02 MX-5. The team has already left the circuit and announced that it will be ready for the 2027 season.

• Xtrême Motorsport has lost its #75 370Z, driven by Alex Habrich, for the remainder of the weekend following a transmission failure.

• Several drivers and teams from other series are actively scouting the SPC paddock this weekend, looking for cars to purchase or rent.

• Don’t miss the second Grid Walk, which will be live on Facebook at 12:45 p.m.!

The Super Production Challenge series presented by Nankang sees its 30 or so drivers compete in the final three races of its 2026 season this weekend as part of the Fall Classic at Circuit Mont-Tremblant. With sunshine, blue skies and warm temperatures greeting fans, thousands of whom were already on hand this Saturday, and competitors alike, the Fall Classic has taken on a distinctly summery feel.

Starting from pole position, Alexandre Fortin (Nissan Z) led the first race on Saturday afternoon. Run without a single yellow flag, the 30-minute event saw Fortin control his advantage over Eric Hochgeschurz (BMW 328i), who finished second but faced pressure from Guillaume Labbé (Honda Civic Type-R) throughout the race. Charles-André Bilodeau (Ford Mustang Ecoboost) and Jonathan Manseau (Toyota GT86) completed the Top 5.

In the Production class, rookie Adrien Raoult (Toyota GT86) had set a record-breaking pole position time in qualifying. However, the race was highlighted by a strong charge from Marc-André Bourdages (Honda Civic), who took the victory ahead of Raoult, Alexandre Bélanger (Hyundai Elantra N) and Zack Lalonde (Hyundai Veloster).

After qualifying separately from the other two classes, the Compact cars joined the rest of the SPC field for the races. Starting from the front, Patrick Desrochers (Nissan Micra) claimed victory ahead of Maïka Chamberland (Honda Fit). Frédéric Bernier (Nissan Micra), who briefly led the race, finished third, while Éric Coulombe (Chevrolet Sonic) took fourth.

SPC drivers will be back on track tomorrow at 9 a.m. for the second of the weekend's three races. by @spcseries
