Sophia Lynn Donath was the first friend I made in the MT program. She was kind, crazy, and like no one else I had ever met before. She took me out of my comfort zone with her amazing laugh guiding the way. Sophia and I would butt heads, but it always felt like two sisters fighting. She always gave me the most random compliments in times I don’t think she knew I needed them most. She is the most beautiful, gorgeous, talented, and amazing woman I had ever met. She made sure everyone felt included and comfortable while exuding a confidence like no other. I can’t imagine a life, let alone school, without her. I’m going to miss her laughing to the point of tears and her excitement for the accomplishments of others. I’m especially going to miss the way she said “water” and her glow whenever she said that she was from “Jersey City, New Jersey”. I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to sing with Sophia, as well as watch her perform, and I will take that gift with me forever. I am sending love and hugs to her family and anyone whose life she touched, and I know there are many. It feels like I have lost a sister, a bridesmaid, and a light, but I know that her legacy will forever go on as long as we continue to keep her in our hearts. I love you so much, Sophia. So much. And thank you for everything.❤️🕊️ by @speaking.of.jess
