POSTS STORIES REELS

Special was born in Auckland in 2007 – one desk, three chairs and zero clients.
Just a room full of experience and ambition.

Proudly independent, with a voracious appetite to create the best work in the world, and a wonderfully innocent belief that we could also build the best creative company in the world, from the bottom of the world.

And somehow, we did just that...

We are now lucky to be working with hundreds of brilliantly talented people across eight global offices - Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, Los Angeles, Wellington, London, New York, Tokyo.

Today, that success has allowed us to partner with Waterman Capital, who have provided a significant investment in the future of Special - allowing us to go further, faster.

This is not a change in who we are. Just a new set of wings for where we want to go.

We’re ready for our mighty next chapter 🚀🚀🚀 by @special_group

Special’s Business Management team is growing!

We have two open Account Director roles here in the Auckland team.

Whether you’re an ambitious Senior Business Manager looking for your next step up, or you’re an Account Director that’s tired of letting the grass grow under your feet. Whatever it is we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll work on some of New Zealand’s most ambitious brands with a stellar team at your side.

Introducing: Save your life. Rinse. Repeat. — our new campaign for @pinkribbonnz, directed by the incredible Academy Award-winning filmmaker @TaikaWaititi

Almost all New Zealand women know regular breast checking is important, but it’s easy to forget. So we turned something already part of the everyday routine (showering) into a potentially lifesaving reminder.

This steamy campaign aims to make checking your breasts as routine as washing them. So next time you’re in the shower, think of Xavier and give yourself a breast self-check.

We’re stoked to see Special recognised with so many Agency of the Year @bandtaustralia finalists.

Across New Zealand and Australia, our PR, Design and wider agency teams share the same commitment: to make every piece of work that goes out the door genuinely SPECIAL.

It’s great to see that commitment recognised in the B&T Agency of the Year shortlist. A huge congratulations to our teams, clients and partners. by @special_group

Great to see such a strong turnout from the Wellington Industry, to hear our Head of Strategy Bethany Omeri share her reflections on her Jury experience at @cannes_lions International Festival of Creativity. Thanks to everyone who came along! by @special_group

*AUCKLAND BASED ROLES*

Calling all intermediate creative teams and copywriters.

Well, not all of you.

The good ones.

No, the great ones.

We've got three spots to fill in our Auckland office. You'll get brilliant briefs on brilliant clients, and all we ask in return is that you do the best work of your career. Work so amazing that we'll have no choice but to make you senior, and then have to write this post all over again.

You're invited: Inside the Jury Room

Our Head of Strategy, Bethany Omeri, has just returned from @cannes_lions, where she served on the Creative Strategy jury alongside some of the industry's sharpest minds.

Now, after returning to a Wellington winter, Bo is ready to unpack the debates that determined which ideas were recognised as the world's best creative work can teach us.

If you’re in Wellington, we'd love to have you join us.
