Well this is it…. It’s almost time that I’ll be closing this chapter of my life and beginning a new one. ❤️

After nearly a decade in the detailing industry it’s crazy to look back and realize it all started with the simple desire of wanting to keep my own car clean. Wanting to use the best tools & products there was and doing things the right way. From those ideals and values Special Projects Detailing was created.

Special projects gave me a way to explore the detailing industry on a much larger scale, allowed me to work on beautiful projects, try new products and more importantly meet amazing people, and I think this post is really a thank you for the opportunity and trusting me with your vehicles which alot of us consider our prized possessions, it has been an absolute pleasure and because of you guys I was able to support my brothers dreams and not living pay cheque to paycheque and for that I’ll forever be grateful but just like everything in life, all chapters come to and end

Special projects detailing will be shutting down September 1st of 2026 for the foreseeable future

The reason for this closure is to allow me the pursuit of another opportunity in the Canadian armed forces🪖🇨🇦and take advantage of my university degree. This country has given me a lot and it’s only right for me to give something back and this is my way of doing so.

While this chapter has come to an end my passion and love for detailing and cars will never go away, so I’m sure you will see me again on here in the future, I just can’t say when. For now we still have 2 months of summer and I hope to see everyone one last time before my deployment ❤️

Minor exterior detail✨

A bitter sweet moment working on such a beautiful piece of art for the final time🥹 the client has been coming to SPD for so long and it’s always a good time working & chatting with him about all sorts of things and it’s fair to say this client and his beautifully kept vehicles are always part of the SPD family 🙌

While this beauty has definitely seen its fair share of road use, the swirls and scratches from previous washes, the faded pff and the etched bug guts…. It still cleaned up quite nicely’

A long time client decided it was worth one final visit to get his Mazda dialled in, and it always means a lot when clients decide to come back to SPD, it is the clearest sign that I must be doing something right 🙌 massive thank you to everyone for the incredible support

A long time clients last time at SPD🥲 it has been an incredible time working on this thing, from interior & exterior details to paint correction and ceramic coating, this vehicle is truly a SPD special and will always be’ such a bitter sweet experience but I’m sure I’ll see this client again down the road 🙌

It’s been about a month since we ceramic coated this vehicle and the client wanted to come in one last time to get everything checked up and ensure that his ceramic coating is working as it’s intended, and I can happily report that I’m extremely satisfied with how this ceramic coating is behaving and I’m sure it will do its job for years to come🙌✨

@soft99_official glaco glass coating doing exactly what it’s supposed too, repelling water with ease off all glass surfaces including the windshield 💦

returning clients came back for the first time since he got his vehicle ceramic coated at the tail end of last summer. He wanted to make sure that the coding is in good shape and get everything dialled in before I leave so that’s exactly what I did ensure the ceramic coating is rejuvenated and topped up and the interior looking absolutely fantastic! I think this vehicle truly shows the beauty of a ceramic coating one major investment that leads to perfect results after every wash✨🙌

7 year ceramic coating ✨
+One step paint correction ✅
+ plastic trim restoration & coating ✅
+ glass & windshield coating ✅
+ Engine bay detail ✅

Well this project was definitely a difficult one, this vehicle has been driven daily summer & winter on highways for years on end, client told me 60km one way 🫪 so it’s seen its fair share of cosmetic damage from rock chips, faded plastics, rust & tar particles, cracked windshield, and deep scratches

The goal for the client and I wasn’t to make it perfect, that would genuinely require repainting and replacing at this point, but we wanted to elevate & protect so the one step paint correction wasn’t aimed to remove swirls or scratches because most of them were so deep, but more to exfoliate the paint and get it ready for the coating, knowing how much the client cared about the protection, even more so than the looks, I went ahead and upgraded him from a 5 to a 7 year coating to make sure he got the best possible protection 🙌

While other places try and shove insane packages at you in the hopes of making more money, at SPD I always try and cater the package to suit you the driver and your vehicle based on how much you drive, how often, where and when, so you know you’ll get the best bang for your bucks 🤷‍♂️I’d rather a clients trust than his money, because trust can’t be bought 😤
