What you hear was written in 30 minutes and recorded in just one take and is one of the best songs I have ever written. I find with alot of my lyrics i shift perspectives trying to create a whole picture of the experience im talking about. With Peace Corps I found some way to tackle dysphoria but also make it CUNT. Ive always felt incredibly disconnected from my body and am pledged daily with the agony of the world’s expectations of it. With this song I wanted to express the tension between self doubt and selfworth to show that even in the midst of suffering, there’s a drive for transformation, for release, for a sense of belonging. It’s messy, it’s painful, but it’s real, and it’s a part of my journey of trying to find some sort of way to survive in this hell world landscape we live in. As we push deeper and deeper into a fascist regime and our bodies become more policed I want us all to remember our CUNTNESS in and of itself is an act of resistance and is a way to hold onto our humanity and remind ourselves of our worth in a world that seeks to diminish it. With the music video I rounded up some of the most incredibly sweet and iconic CUNTRESSES i know and meditated on the act of becoming. This ritual that often has shifted from an act of expression and creativity to an act of obligation or high key servitude to fit some sort of blah blah blah i know you get it. Im super proud of this song and this video and i hope you enjoy. Xoxo Director: Alli logout Dp: @bethanymichalski The suffering @yngh0t @g4tica_ @samsungsh3wty by @specialinterest.no
