Scythe from Dragula season 7.

I kept the clouds grey so the teal light and all that metal could do their thing.

A closer look at the armour, claws and scythe. I enjoyed drawing the metal.

The face up close. I wanted the teal eyes to cut through all the grey.

11 hours 12 minutes in Procreate, packed into a timelapse. Yes, a fair bit of that was spent on the spikes.

And last but certainly not least, our extra special guest judge, appearing on Season 7 of @bouletbrothersdragula: Scythe

Scythe is a Costa Rican-born, Los Angeles-based nonbinary drag performer and tattoo artist known for pushing the boundaries of alternative and horror drag. Their performances blend punk, body horror, bizarre beauty, theatrical movement, and fearsome creature-inspired aesthetics to create an experience that is as unsettling as it is captivating.

A master tattoo artist specializing in gender-affirming body modification, Scythe brings their artistic eye from the tattoo studio to the stage, transforming themselves into an otherworldly drag specimen through elaborate costumes, makeup, movement, and visual storytelling.

Scythe has performed alongside some of the biggest names in the drag underworld including internationally renowned stars like Vander Von Odd and Hoso Terra Toma. They were also featured in Disasterina’s “My Drag Is Valid”, highlighting their reputation as one of Los Angeles’ most exciting up-and-coming drag monsters.

Scythe doesn’t simply perform a character — they become it.

Tickets for Bloodbath 2026 are on sale now, catch this year’s contestants fighting for the crown Sunday, October 18th at LUSH. Ticket 🔗 in bio 😈
