📣CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS📣

SDC is looking to build a roster of volunteers to assist in our weekly classes, future performances, and studio events.

Previous experience with dance and working with individuals with developmental or physical disabilities is a plus but not required. We offer on the job training!

We work with student volunteers 15 and older as well as volunteers 18+.

We are also happy to have volunteers to help in other areas such as marketing, grant writing, administrative assistance, etc. Feel free to contact us if this is an area of interest!

Please email office@spectrumdanceco.com to apply!

Friday night we had Costume Day to celebrate Halloween at SDC! Our 9-12 year old hip hop learned a Halloween themed dance and our 6-9 year old class played lots of games and worked on some across the floor skills using pumpkin props instead of our usual teaching tools. Everyone had a lot of fun and we loved seeing everyone’s costumes 💜🎃🕸️✨

And more progress to celebrate!! 🎉

Last time we shared an update on Emma she was performing Front Cross and Rebound independently. Since then we’ve removed one hoop during Front Cross and added arm movements to Rebound. Look how incredible she’s doing!! ✨💜

Consistent work really pays off! Signing up for our weekly classes is sure to show results with your dancer 🪩🕺

Happy World Ballet Day 🩰💜✨

While SDC has focused mostly on Hip Hop, Ms. Morgan has been collaborating with @enrichment_learningcenter every Monday to teach ballet! These kiddos have been doing SO great 💜

Can’t wait to add ballet to the official SDC schedule 🪩

Celebrating HUGE milestones 🎉💜🎉💜

Jinjer has been dancing with SDC for several months and aside from dancing, one of her goals has been to follow class instruction and stand in her spot for class. This past Friday was the first class we’ve been able to successfully capture footage of this girly because she focused on classroom instruction!!

If you see Jinjer in class make sure to give her a big congratulations! She’s making huge strides 💜

Also, shout out to our volunteer @annalise.evans for working with Jinjer and learning how to best assist her in class ✨
