Why do we need Disability Pride Month?

Because disabled people have spent too long being underestimated, overlooked, and told they need to change to fit into systems that weren’t built for them.

Disability Pride Month recognizes disability as part of human diversity. That includes autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, chronic illnesses, and physical disabilities.

At Spectrum Designs, we see what happens when neurodiverse employees are given clarity, support, and real opportunity. They thrive, contribute, and lead.

Pride isn’t about ignoring challenges. It’s about rejecting shame and building a world where people don’t have to hide who they are to belong.

What came out of our shops this week 👀
@wvstateparks , @nychealthy , and @nycmayorsoffice World Cup shirts all had custom orders move through our production floor this week.

Screen printing, embroidery, Heat Pressing and quality checks all done by a neurodiverse workforce at Spectrum Designs, a nonprofit social enterprise focused on autism employment and inclusive hiring.
