SpeedyGoat SPA Day 2 by @speedygoatmc

A day out at the track with the new @chaoscalibrations tune in the 128i. by @speedygoatmc

2nd place 🥈 out of 18 today in my group.

First autocross event, or overall performance driving event.

Car has endless grip for days. Learnt a lot about its limits and how to extract performance out of it on a short technical course while maintaining traction in the rear.

- Looking ahead
- Applying deliberate throttle to turn the car, and not coasting sections
- Trail breaking into turns to maintain front end grip
- Positioning for good turn ins
- Using chalk lines to make tire pressure adjustments

It's different controlling 650 lb-ft to prevent wheel spin, while still maintaining pace in car that weighs close to 3900 lbs. The power and torque make mistakes like late braking very forgiving, because you can just "cheat" your way out of the turn with the power.....atleast in an autocross setting. But the better approach is building the right driving techniques and habits.

Stayed in first gear the whole day. In track setting the throttle is not as sharp, so if helped put power to the wheels without losing traction.

The goal today was to learn the car. It has been achieved.

Thanks to @speedygoatmc for setting up today's event. I'll be back. by @speedygoatmc
