💬 What would you say to a parent whose child says, “I’m not good at sports”? 🤔🏃‍♀️

✨ Start by changing the conversation!

Physical Education isn’t about deciding who is “good at sport” and who isn’t. It’s about helping every child discover the joy of movement, participate with confidence, explore new possibilities, and grow at their own pace. 🌱💪

🎙️ Mrs. Gita Krishnaraj, National Head – PEPS, shares why we need to put participation before performance and create positive movement experiences before worrying about sporting ability. 🤸‍♂️🌟

❤️ A child doesn’t have to be good at sport to enjoy movement. But that enjoyment could be the first step towards building confidence, competence, and a lifelong love for being active! 🏃‍♀️⚽🏀

Because every child deserves the opportunity to move, explore, and thrive. 🌈🙌

🏃‍♀️📚 What do parents often misunderstand about Physical Education?

Perhaps the biggest misconception is that time spent moving is time taken away from learning.
But it isn’t. 💡
🗣️ “Movement is not taking children away from learning. It supports learning.”

National Head – PEPS, Mrs. Gita Krishnaraj, addresses a concern many parents have — and reminds us that confidence, emotional regulation, participation, and movement are all essential parts of a child’s development. 🌱✨

PE is not a distraction from education.
🎯 It is part of educating the whole child.

Let’s give children the space to move, participate, grow, and thrive. 🏃‍♂️❤️

🏃‍♀️🏅 Why are certifications and skill pathways important in Physical Education?

Because when we recognise a skill, we also recognise the effort, learning and competence behind it. 🎯📚

Mrs. Gita Krishnaraj, National Head – PEPS, speaks about why structured certifications and NSQF-aligned pathways matter — not just in giving Physical Education greater legitimacy, but in showing young people that their abilities in sport, fitness and movement can lead somewhere. 🏆💪

For some students, that pathway could even become a career. 🚀

It’s time we gave movement skills the same recognition and dignity we give other skills. 🙌✨
