POSTS STORIES REELS

I don’t typically cut directing reels for public consumption anymore but whenever I come across a song that really moves me, I tend to get a jolt of inspiration to do so. This one came from the opening of Death Stranding 2.

This reel is a bit unorthodox in how it’s presented (I HATE FORMATTING FOR IG), but I still think it’s really cool. Sure, I want you to see the work, but also it’s a reminder to myself that I’ve done some really cool shit over the years and worked with a ton of really cool people. Along with that, I’m reminded of why I really love movies. It’s the moments where we make human beings feel like giants. It’s the combination of movement and emotion that helps us see ourselves on screen and disappear for a few hours.

I’m a little early with this, but I’m really looking forward to taking some creative risk in 2026. My perspective on this industry has shifted quite a bit as well and frankly put — I’m not a creative that fits neatly into any box. I explore. That’s always how I’ve been.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy these few minutes of my reel. Listen with headphones for the best experience! You may see a friend or two!

I’ll have a 16x9 version posted elsewhere for those of us cinema purist.

We were honored to be part of such a special project highlighting the Deaf community and ASL on a global stage.

Led by our founder @spenceglover.mov, our team crafted a behind-the-scenes featurette to accompany Disney’s Songs In Sign Language ASL films—an experience we’re incredibly proud of. Watching @deafwest & @disneyanimation collaboration was truly inspiring!

Here’s a few clips and behind-the-scenes moments from our team in action, from pre-production through post.

You can stream the films and featurette now on Disney+!

Played a tiny tiny part in sharing this special project with the world. Directed and produced the making-of featurette for Disney’s Songs in Sign Language!

It was clear from the bts and footage that our team received, that the collaboration between Deaf West Theatre and Disney Animation was really something special. It shows in the final product. I encourage you to experience the re-animated films with your kids, your loved ones, your friends in the deaf community; share it with everyone! It really is a special thing. And after you watch check out extras to learn a little bit on how this came to be!

I’m always honored to work with my friends over at Disney. Thanks to my fearless RISE fam for trusting me and my team to deliver @lissakhosh & @katlebac along with so many on the Disney Animation side @projectlotusproductions + many more!

And to my amazing team — I can’t thank you enough for your hard work, creativity, and kind spirits as we pulled this one together pretty quickly.

I’ve been low key about wins lately because I can’t help but feel the dissonance between the joy of creating and the current state of affairs. it’s a tough time, but i want to share because you never know how it may help the next person who’s pushing through. so here’s a little bts. so thankful for this team. keep fighting. keep dreaming. by @spenceglover.mov

I really wanted this year to be different. I’ve long been a workaholic and quite frankly I’ve been fed up with it. Majority of this year has been personal wins, unlocking new memories and setting boundaries. This is only a small portion, mainly because I’m too lazy to gather up all the images and the 20 tag limit, but just know it was a good year.

If we’ve spent time together this year, whether over a meal, countless espresso tonics, a film set, an impromptu RM108, a movie or just online playing games I want you to know that I appreciate you and your time. I’m eternally grateful for the collaborations this year too! You all know who you are. I appreciate you thinking of me every time you do.

To wrap this all up, I look forward to 2025 with optimism. I want to film another personal short story, and move the needle on my professional career even more, but more importantly I just want to find true community and create more memories along the way.

All in all, this year was different and I’m happy about it.

Later 24’. Oh yea, I’m turning 38 in 7 days. WTF. by @spenceglover.mov
