Yesterday marked 15 years since my mom transitioned from our physical world. She was the absolute best! This photo was taken at Book People during her reading for her debut novel “World of Pies.” 🥧 She wrote it while teaching adjunct at different universities and raising me. 🙌🏽

I take so much inspiration from how she never gave up on her dreams. Because of her, I never will either.

I’ve been deriving peace from this affirmation my therapist offered me recently: “I can honor the people I miss while continuing to move forward and living my life fully.” ♥️ by @spenceisgood
