Your shoot ends. Where can your photos go?

Usage rights define how a client can use your modeling photos.
An organic post, a paid ad or both? Check the agreement.
Look for the channels and countries or regions it covers.
Check how long the client can use the photos.

Your first modeling offer? Ask these three questions.

A photo shoot, a fitting and a live event involve different work.
At Spencer Models, each booking has its own role, schedule and pay.
Ask what you’ll actually be doing, not just who the client is.
Confirm when you’re needed and what you’ll be paid before you agree.

Applying does not authorize AI use.

At Spencer Models, sending application photos is not consent to AI-assisted campaign use.
That requires separate written authorization.
Traditional representation stands on its own.
AI-assisted campaign work is optional.

Read our application and consent guidance: https://spencermodels.com/faq/

An image is one part of a campaign. Creative direction also means choosing the talent, shaping the story, and making sure the product is represented accurately.

AI can help a creative team explore and produce. People still make the decisions about what belongs, what needs refining, and what is ready to release.

“Made by humans” and “made with AI” are not opposites. Read the full perspective in our Journal: “Made by Humans” and Made with AI Are Not Opposites (https://spencermodels.com/journal/ai-vs-real-creatives/).

If the offer is “pay us and we’ll represent you,” pause. The FTC warns aspiring models not to pay an agency upfront for representation.

An agency’s commission is different: your agreement should explain the percentage it receives from your paid assignments. A modeling class is a separate service, not the same thing as agency representation.

Before sending money, ask exactly what you’re buying and get the terms in writing. Save this before your next agency conversation.
