I’ve delayed posting this because I wanted to be able to soak in what may be my last summer at my favorite place on planet Earth: Cedar Lake Camp. It has served me in so many ways, and it has allowed me to serve in so many ways. From the sisters I’ve me there, to the great blessing of brotherhood, I couldn’t thank the Lord more for camp. I wouldn’t be where I am at now without this place, and I can’t wait to send my family there in the future. I am even struggling now to find the right words to convey how I feel, so, I’ll leave it at that. Praise God for this place, for the people within it, and for the love of God that we all share. What a blessing to be able to spend the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026 serving the children of Kigali, Rwanda. With it being my first mission trip it was definitely a fresh experience that I was blessed with. If we don’t take it upon ourselves to go and reach people near and far, then what guarantee will we have that anyone else will? taken in Kigali, Rwanda by @spenjohns1

My last Junior Counselor year was a blessing to say the least. This summer has brought about many relationships that have highlighted God. It has also been a testimony to how God can work through us when we are simply obedient. Following Christ doesn’t mean life is full of following rules, but instead it’s living in the Spirit, and through the Lord come abundant joy.
