Does ejaculating more often lower your risk of prostate cancer?

A large long-term study published in European Urology followed nearly 32,000 men and found that men reporting 21 or more ejaculations per month had a lower incidence of prostate cancer than men reporting 4–7 per month.

The association was especially notable for lower-risk prostate cancers.

Important: this was an observational study, so it doesn’t prove that frequent ejaculation directly prevents prostate cancer. Researchers have proposed possible explanations (including more frequent clearing of prostatic secretions) but the exact mechanism isn’t established.

And yes, ejaculation in the study included sex, masturbation, and nocturnal emissions. by @spermracing
